Not an idiot... He screw the fan base big time, he'll be an idiot by not fixing it. If there is a football next season and we promote Meeks and Clausen is a starter... how many tickets will we sell?

We secured some seats with completely wasting a pick on Armanti Edwards. I also have a feeling Cowher and the #1 pick would sell just as many tickets. Hell even Grimm and the #1 with A. Edwards would.

There is a lot of potential for reward in getting them both but there is also a lot of risk. This year is a display of just how much risk taking JR is willing to take (none really). I am sorry but I doubt he listens much to the fans about who comes in and I doubt he feels sorry for them enough to take the risk.

This team needs an offensive genius as HC. Our Offense sucks. I doubt Cowher comes here, Grimm is more likely.

Easy killer - I never said he didn't screw us and that he doesn't owe it to the fan base to fix this team. :chillpill:

What I said is that he would be an idiot to let the fans decide the next coach. I stand by this, you cannot under any circumstances allow popular opinion to decide this move. He will (I hope?) replace Fox with a coach that he (and whoever else is making the decision) believes will help to right the ship. It may be Harbaugh and it may not, there are a lot of variables at work here that we are not now and never will be privy to.

Am I on the Harbaugh bandwagon? Yes...yes I am. Do I think Pickles and Meeks will make a good team next year? No. Do I think Harbaugh is the ONLY way to fix this team? Also no (although I admittedly do want him - I can also admit that there are other options for doing so).

I see your point and I'm in the same boat. I don't mind other options as long as it's offensive genius.... I'm really tired of limp dick football. With struggling offense, we in dire need of someone who can help.

A coach with a defensive background paired with a good OC and a laissez-faire attitude towards the offense might work here as well. I wouldn't like to see it nearly as much but unleashing a hungry OC on an offense and letting him work without constant micromanagement and an enforced philosophy would be a huge improvement over what we have now.
