April 28-30, 2011 If they follow the 3 day route again. Usually tickets cannot be purchased you have line up the day before the draft to receive a wristband for the following day.

"Local ordinances prohibit lining up on the sidewalks directly in front of or around Radio City Music Hall. Fans may line up on the morning of the free event at the direction of Radio City personnel. In prior seasons fan entry has taken place at the Carriage Door Entrance located on 50th street between 5th and 6th avenues.

The draft is a first-come, first-serve event for the general public and is limited. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

ESPN and ESPN2 will televise the draft in its entirety as will NFL Network.

Yep, you had to get in line the day before last year. I'm still down with going though.

Tickets will be distributed at random. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Fan entry will take place at the "Carriage Door Entrance" located on 50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues.

It's an estimated 11 hour trip from Charlotte to New York...

If they keep the same format we probably would need to arrive in NY no later than 4pm Wednesday Evening.... That gives us enough time to check in and get back to radio city music hall to get in line.

Accounting for extra stoppage time we would probably need to leave Charlotte no later than 3 am Tuesday Night/Wednesday Morning.

Stay 3 nights.... Wednesday, Thursday, Friday... Then leave after the draft on Saturday to head back to Charlotte.

#1 We could probably get a very good group rate, but we would need to get this rolling quick, firm commitments, and I'm sure everyone will need to pay a deposit soon.

#2 If we have enough people coming from different places maybe they can work something out travel wise in terms of getting to Charlotte....Example I'll be coming from Texas, so anyone else maybe we could work something out.

#3 This maybe a long shot, but since we have the #1 pick maybe we could work something out with the panthers or NFL, tell them what we're doing and maybe get our own section???? Hey, it's worth a shot.

I am definitely going to go. I live in Alabama, but will drive and love to meet up with fellow fans willing to make the trip. If I can get a confirmed count, I will gladly try to coordinate a packaged deal with a company to comply with whatever demand we may have. A company I have in mind could be Anthony travel, which is a company I have used that coordinates trips for Rams Club members of the UNC Tarheels. The sooner I can get at least a headcount of 50, the sooner I can communicate and negotiate a deal.
