Harris is the same player he was here. Piss poor in coverage, misses a ton of tackles, but lays a few guys out and makes a few turnovers. He is the epitome of a highlight player, where fans get confused about how good he really is.

That said, I would have preferred a draft pick for him... Even if Williams played well we would have had to re-sign him straight away based off one years production.

Not a great trade, but do not fool yourself into thinking Harris is a difference maker back there. Great professional, not a great player.

Just pointing out a certain GM's incompetence. A GM who will have a job next year for some reason.

Hurney is the guy that traded for Harris in the first place and we came out on the better end of that trade.

JR is the one who made him trade Harris away. We have a budget remember?

Even if it was Hurney's decision he traded for him in the first place so it's a moot point.

      The point is there is a difference between analyst saying he is the consensus no.1 and scouts/GMs saying it. If you are saying the substance is a bunch of talking heads on ESPN saying then that doesnt mean anything. There was literally numerous sources saying we were taking Stroud around the combine and mock draft creators, even Vegas had him as the favorite for a while. It changed later on, what part of that screams consensus? We know why it changed...the substance is irrelevant. Bryce supporters constantly bringing this up while he has shown nothing so far outside of heading to bust territory just comes off like giant Cope. Bryce had multiple red flags, there is no way all the teams had him as the best QB. He didnt even give any other teams the time of day outside of panthers and texans which makes it even more unclear they would all have him number 1.  Thats not your substance to support he was consensus no. 1. Period.
