If you want Luck, Harbaugh is the key

ATTENTION - Marty Hurney (we all know you read the Huddle):

Learn this f*cking song immediately. And hire a band that can play it. Do NOT f*ck this up!

Do not get distracted by how ugly everyone in the video is - listen to the words.

That is all.

Come on. He can work on his degree while playing[ it may take a few Springs, but he can finish in 3 years. Harbaugh doesn't want to say anything until he knows where he will be. It is possible that he stays at Stanford. If so, he wants Luck there for up to 2 more years. If Harbaugh coaches any college or any pro team other than Stanford or Carolina, he will do so without Luck.

A la Eli Manning is more like it. Elway threatened to go pro baseball.

Common denominator being they refused to play for the first team that held their rights.

pfft... mine is perfect...

I'd only sell it to get Pep back...

Heck, if it meant getting Harbaugh and Luck together, I'd even sell Hawk's height.

With the CBA not done and the likelihood of a lockout increasing, I wouldn't be surprised if both Harbaugh and Luck return to Stanford. While many fans are absolutely positive a lockout won't happen, I think that others are not quite so sure.

A major issue is that underclassman must declare by mid January, and if we don't have a coach by that point, Luck would only come out if he KNOWS Harbaugh is leaving Stanford for sure, I think. I do not think our management would rush this hiring either; while they may have already laid eyes on someone to cause a quick decision, I fear we won't hear anything for a bit of time. However, I'm also just nervous about this entire situation.

But most think that while a lockout is likely, they believe it will be resolved sometime in the summer and not effect the regular season. So I really don't think a lockout will be the reason Luck or Harbaugh don't come to the NFL, if that's what they decide.

Not including Luck, Stanford will lose 3 of their 5 starting OL, both starting WR's, and both starting TE's. That's 7 of 11 starters gone from this year's team. I think Harbaugh realizes that this is the apex of where he can take Stanford Football, which is why I believe he will look to move on after this season. And whether or not he ends up here, that bodes well for the chances of Luck declaring.

And if Luck declares, we almost certainly would take him. So, if we do pursue Harbaugh, then I think he will see that we have the makings of his ideal offensive scheme. A dominant stable of RB's, a solid run blocking OL, a great #1 WR along with two talented up-and-comers, a quickly developing blocking FB, and his protoge QB that he has stated is the best QB he has ever been around.

Add all the pieces and I believe we stand a very good chance of getting both Harbaugh and Luck...regardless of whether or not Michigan comes calling.

In reality Harbaugh has absolutley nothing to do whith Andrew Luck receiving a contract somewhere around 6yrs, 80 million if he comes out for the 2011 draft.

Specualtion that Harbaugh controls him somehow is purely bullshit.

Agreed. The odds that they end up on the same team are extremely thin, and I am sure they both know that, assuming that either one wants to leave.

Besides, does Luck really need Harbaugh to hold his hand?
