Christmas Wish List of Roster.

considering that roster looks like it could compete for a super bowl what makes you think Steve Smith would still leave?

Yeah I was torn on it, I wanted Steve Smith but I played it like we traded him for picks like a pick high enough to get Jarvis Jenkins. I think he's more likely to not be in Carolina next year then Dwill is. Also I had Goodson traded for picks too.

So you think Terrell Owens and Steve Smith are going to work well on a team together, along with a rookie QB?

Is Myron Rolle even an active player in the NFL? Last I heard he was on the Titans practice squad. So you think he should be starting over Sherrod Martin with Godfrey keeping his job?

Isn't Carriker with the Redskins right now? He was traded to the Redskins specifically because he wasn't working out in the 4-3.

Is Glen Dorsey a free agent at all right now?

Confusing choices.

I feel if we don't make some things happen in the free agent period, Steve Smith will seek for a trade. (Maybe even Chris Gamble as well) From what I've heard due to all the cuts before the season, we a good bit of money to spend. So I say let's spend it.

Terrell Owens showed he can still be a factor in the league. He also played for two bad teams without much incident, and he didn't get into any fights with Ocho. So if we sign him to a one year deal, at the very least he will be the stable number two option, just like Muhammad was for us the previous two years. (On name alone, T.O. should demand decent coverage, freeing up Steve Smith.) If we can sign Billy Volek and get Andrew Luck, then we can let then battle it out in the pre-season. If Luck is ready to go and get's in rhythm with both Owens and Smith, then we let him start. (I'm hoping both Smith and Owens toughen Luck up even more then he already is during the pre-season.) If Luck is not ready, Volek is known to have big passing days throughout his career. He would be a good vet QB to stand behind until Luck is ready to take the reigns.

Myron Rolle is a wildcard for me. He has the potential to be a great safety in this league. Yep, he is on the Titans practice squad, and for that reason he would be cheap to attain in a trade. (Or even better to claim off waivers.) If we obtain him, he and Sherrod Martin can battle it out for the starting position. Godfrey can get turnovers. Yet I would definitely consider Martin to replace Godfrey, in fact if that were to happen, we could probably trade Godfrey for decent value. Out of all the trade options we have, trading Godfrey would be the easiest decision on the conscience to make for most fans. Since Godfrey was touted earlier in the year as the most valuable player on our defense, maybe we could get good value for him. All in all, bringing in Rolle would be beneficial and cheap for us, and he has potential to be a probowl player. (I say this base on his college play.)

It seems you are right about Carriker, but perhaps we could make him our defensive end and put Seymour at DT. I wonder if Carriker would be willing to move again in such a short period of time. I would love to have him here, he's one of the more stronger players in the league. As for Glenn Dorsey, we would have to trade for him, but because he is still a starter on a now winning team, that may not be such a good idea. (As the Chiefs would want valuable compensation for him. Plus his contract would need to be adjusted for us) If we were to get him, maybe we could give life to his career playing in the 4-3 at DT. He could become our pass rusher in the middle. So we would have........

DE Adam Carriker

DT Glenn Dorsey

DT Richard Seymour

DE Charles Johnson

Ultimately, to keep Smith (who is still a top WR capable of setting records), we need to be a contender in 2011, and not a team who is satisfied with 8 wins.

1. Pianalto in the 7th? Never going to happen.

Luck, Burney, Blanc and Jenkins would be great to draft. I don't even know the others.

1. Mankins from NE to CAR? I can't see that happening.

2. Avril is another undersized E. Brown DE, don't need.

3. Godfrey & Martin > Sensabaugh

4. Hill would go where he can start

Cofield, Ugoh, Williams and Jackson I like though.
