Those that have posted there own wish list.

They look good and are reasonable. Moffitt, Cannon, and the FA guys mentioned are definite options. Forgive me for not being sold on Luck. We all need to watch the Orange Bowl closely. I for one say Tyrod Taylor is gonna outplay Luck.

No i imagine those that got the "franchise QB" are happy with the choice. BUT there is a couple teams that thought they were drafting a "franchise Qb" that likely would trade down if given a do over.

I bet the Raiders would like to take Adrian Peterson or Darrelle Revis instead of Russell. The Titans may not have been as high on Vince Young and the Cardinals for sure would pass on the last golden boy from the PAC 10. Or how bout Alex Smith? I bet Roddy White or Shawn Merriman would have done pretty well in the Bay. Joey Harrington, David Carr, Akili Smith, Drew Brees at the top of the SECOND. Brett Favre passed over by the entire league several times over. The examples are nearly endless. It's a crap shoot.

John Elway, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Peyton Manning would like to say "hi". Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Ben Roethlisberger, Mark Sanchez, Josh Freeman, Sam Bradford, and Colt McCoy dropped by as well to say "wuuzzz upppp".

Yes some don't work out.... but the reward for when they do is immeasurable.

So the answer is to never take a chance and stay around mediocrity with QB play forever. I'm sorry I want a CHANCE at what other consistently successful teams have... Great QB, in a QB league!

I want a chance for our team to be more than just average. A CHANCE!

Also it's not like if we don't draft QB whatever position we draft will not fall the same fate.... there are LOT's of defensive players that have not been worth their top 10 pick lately... same with O-line and WR.... It's not like those teams KNEW White, or Merriman where gonna play how they are.

is our first round pick Marvin Austin? if it is, this is a joke. that guy is a third rounder right now, not even in consideration for top 5 picks. if you went Nick Fairley or someone like that, then atleast it's a bit better

NO. It is near impossible to project trades and where some prospects will actually go. But a trade down to add a top DT or CB in the first then addressing the other in the second is hardly a crazy option. In the third we could look at top guards, another DT, or a return specialist.

adding a top notch dt will fix the defense as a whole. there would be no need to invest in a top cb...but it won't work vice versa.

Don't you think our CBs would be more than adequate if we had a dominating interior presense to help generate pressure?

See i disagree with you Mwright and Number28. I do not see Marshall being a Panther next year. Corners historically go to the highest bidder in FA. Some team with no bona fide number 1 corner will overpay. We will need to draft a replacement or move Capt to number 2. I like Capt but feel he fits best as a nickle or slot defender. I also think that DT is kinda a weak class this year. Fairley has been a one year wonder, Marcel fits but a 3-4 team will likely reach for him, and after them two it gets sketchy. Corners on the other hand are deeper and also at the same time very talented at the top. Prince, Patrick, Harris, Jenkins, Dowling, Burton, Carmicheal, and Brown. DT's are nowhere near as deep. But after the offense draftfest of last year i would really like to see defense being the focus.

Teams that trade down (Patriots) already have franchise QBs. If you're a 2-12 team with no QB you keep the pick and take a potential franchise QB to build your team around. Kyle Orton is a scrub who is putting up numbers in a QB friendly pass happy offense. He's not a franchise QB. If he was Chicago wouldn't have traded him and Denver wouldn't be about to replace him. Getting big numbers in fantasy football doesn't mean a QB is a franchise. People need to learn the difference.

i know people don't want to hear it, but i have a gut feeling carolina is going to pick up marcell with their first pick....even if it is the first overall, and especially if luck doesn't declare. if dt is slim and cb deep, it makes more sense to pick dt as high as possible.

carolina will pick a qb, but may pass on luck. hurney has already said the philosophy of the team isn't going to change. it's going to be run heavy with a stout defense. outside of carolina, there aren't that many teams in dire need for a first round qb...which means someone's going to deal for carolina's pick for luck (opening the door even wider for a dt with their first pick), or QBs are going to fall. it wouldn't surprise in the least to see carolina pick up a dt first, then wheel and deal to pick up a qb later in the first or early in the second round.

there are good QBs in the draft that aren't named luck. this is actually a draft that can produce multiple franchise QBs.
