Saying he has no potential at all and has no future in league is premature..

Seems pretty clear actually.

The best hope Clausen has is to work in the offseason on his major flaws and somehow make an impact in training camp and preseason. I would say if he doesn't show up with a new game next year his career is dead.

We tried that. But every week someone feels that their thread about Clausen will bring up a point that hasn't been covered in the 4,000 other threads already posted. I don't know about the other mods, but I got tired of combining them.

I'm going to suggest we just delete all of them after next weeks game and delete any new ones since he will be a backup next year.

I know you're referring to colleges, but they are basically the same guy - playing wise. Plus, both are Cali guys. But, I have to admit, Carr seems to be a much better person.

I have been ripping Jimmy myself, but I was very objective in my approach to him to start with and hoped he could be "the guy" for us, but once I saw him play, I knew the chances were slim.

I'm glad we played on a national stage last night for all the irrational people we have on this board who refuse to believe he won't turn into a franchise QB. He just isn't and hasn't shown any signs that he will. Zero improvement. And now all the talking heads saw it as well, difference is that these guys actually played the game and are seeing and saying the same things that I, and others have been saying since forever now...

And again, he was a 2nd rounder, so I don't understand the attachment... We're gonna be alright come April.

These "experts" are seeing what half this forum and John Fox saw 12 weeks ago. Better late than never!

My thread accusing Jimmy Clausen of being a coward was ages ago and i gotta lot of slack for it. Now you see a thread about every 6 hours questioning his mental toughness.

His career is dead?lol

He will get plenty of shots with other teams..because every coach thinks they can be the guy that can fix him..Its just too early to say he has no potential.IMO...

stop, i am not a newton-fan either but i disagree here...i saw newton on some games, especially against alabama and he threw a lot of nice passes. the gators were a lot of gimmick-qb option dont know what type of an offense and auburn seems to be the same but not in that particular game...the comeback from behind was VERY impressive.

the thing about newton is that i think he could become a 2nd russel due to motivation...

and this is based on what?jamarcus would have quit instead of transfering to a jc. the guy is a dual threat, and with the right coach will be a good nfl qb.
