Universal whine about Clausen thread

I would call that giving up...Clausen does have his flaws, but a lot of those flaws are magnified by the fact that he has no time to throw, along with receivers that apparently cannot catch. However, I do not think you can judge a rookie after one year, cause if that was the case Elway and Aikman wouldve been kicked to the curb. Their stats were dreadful as well, dont forget that...so regardless, if Luck declares (which I dont think he will), then he is going to struggle with a dreadful o-line and a mediocre receiver group, I just dont get why people think he is going to work a miracle with the current group of players

Yes but you can also look at the plays where he does have time and the WRs don't screw up. He still makes terrible mistakes. Anyone can see that he doesn't have it. He is too slow physically and mentally and has a bad arm.

If you can't see the difference between Aikman and Clausen then you are a retard. He had a "bad" rookie season but still managed to set an NFL rookie record one week. Aikman was full of potential on a terrible team.

Clausen has no potential on a terrible team

Let me ask- what makes you say that Aikman found it during his rookie year without relying on stats? Did you watch Aikman his rookie year?

No but I did watch Peyton Manning's, Big Ben's, Matt Stafford's, Sam Bradford's and Joe Flacco's among others.....they all showed (showing in Bradford's case) progression despite putting up less then desirable numbers on game day. They showed the ability to go through your options on offense and read the field, the ability to throw the receiver open, the ability to move the defense with their eyes and pump fakes....so on and so forth.....Clausen has shown none of that.....

This all looks familiar, I really dont see where Aikman shows "it" on these two plays...not saying Clausen will be anything like Aikman, but I bet the Cowboys are glad they didnt give up on him.

Congrats you picked out two plays out of an entire season to try and prove your point. Hey buddy, Peyton was picked off six times in a game against the Chargers, does that mean he doesn't have it.....

A few months after drafting Aikman, the Cowboys drafted Steve Walsh, QB Miami in the supplemental draft to compete with him for the job. After Aikman's rookie year, it was clear that he was their franchise QB so they traded Walsh.

After Clausen's rookie year, the only clarity is that he is not the future of the franchise in Charlotte.
