Universal whine about Clausen thread

I've found his problem.

If you look very closely, you can notice his hands are slightly smaller than normal. Unfortunately, this limits his down field throws to about 4 yards. Also, the nerves in his hands let him know when defenders are approximately 6 feet away, which explains his tendency to to fall forward just as a defender gets within that range, or basically .0001 seconds after the ball is snapped.

And yet, his hands are still bigger than his scrunched up face.

Yea, go ahead Jimmy, put your hand up to your face, just to see, just to see man.

There you go.

WHACK! Ahahahaha got you! Totally got you, did you really think your hands were bigger than your face? They're hardly bigger than your nose.

It's simple, really. He cannot make the throws and NFL QB needs to make.

I agree 100%! When a receiver runs a slant you need to put the ball in front of him not behind. Big Ben showed with Mike Wallace what will happen if you have a fast receiver and you put the ball in front of him, Touchdown. I also don't understand the OC when it is 3rd and 4 and we don't run a quick play. We know the defense is coming after the QB but Clausen drops back and holds the ball too long and gets sacked. Get rid of the damn ball, son!

I understand rookies stare down players. In this case, staring down a tight end when you have Steve Smith on the field is just bad QB play. 16 weeks into the season being a rookie isn't a valid excuse for that.

So you blame Clausen when he throws a pass to Smith that Smith drops.

You blame Clausen when he gets sacked a second after he gets the snap.

You blame Clausen for not staring down Steve Smith.

You blame Clausen for staring down an open Rosario.

Got it.

Kinda funny, the only thing on that play that kept everyone here from saying "now that is an NFL throw," was that it was a yard behind. If it's a TD, we aren't having this argument.

Bruschi mentioned that he saw no improvement in Clausen's play all year while he did see improvement in other rookies like Bradford, McCoy, and even The Golden Calf of Bristol

Schlereth was even more critical mentioning that Clausen had no clue how to read a blitz and throw to the hot route
