John Fox is gonna do the same thing he does every week. After all these years you should know Fox ain't gonna do anything different. Same gameplan basically as last week.....and the season before.

Fox might get aggressive on D but he does that from time to time. Offensively, the man is a rock for the most part. Fox's idea of getting wild and crazy is his standard flea flicker likely the first play of the game......then back to business as usual.

If anyone picks up Foxy as a HC they will be really pissed in a year or two.

not so sure that's true. had the panthers scored/not allowed three more points in the superbowl, fox would have the distinct honor of having taken an absolute mess of a team from 1-15 to a superbowl win in only two years.

fox needs a team with discipline problems, a team that's discontent and can't gel in the lockerroom, a team that lacks a leader. he's run his course with carolina, yes, but that doesn't mean his leadership style and football philosophy couldn't be successful elsewhere.

Fox COULD be a top tier coach if he hired a good OC and allowed the OC to run their own offense. Foxball just don't work anymore in the NFL.

the man has some flat out great aspects....

when the right components are in place, it works great. foxball = great offensive line and defensive line, which = tough, physical defense and superior rungame. 2003 was a good example. so was 2005 until the injuries, and 2008 - they showed how effective foxball could be (the lack of a mistake-free quarterback biting him in the ass on the latter, a clear tactical error.)

fox WILL succeed elsewhere.

I expect an inspired gameplan, inspired playcalling, inspired play, rookies looking like vets and, win or lose, a much closer game than any of us are expecting.

 the guy just got his 2nd win of the year, this being his last year as a HC here. the time for coaching inspired football has long come and gone.

if this is true and he's going to pull out all the stops this week, that isn't going to make him look like a very good candidate for a HC job at all because this is something that he should have done long ago...when it actually mattered.

i doubt this is true, though, because i think that fox has been doing his best to coach. we're just seeing how limited he is as a coach.

Fox's philosophy is passe at best and he plays situational odds at every opportunity in the game. If it wasn't for the reminants of Del Rio's defense, Smitty wanting to make a name for himself, a young Duhlomme with a decent arm and a good line we wouldn't have sniffed that superbowl game. Thats why I believe in miracles.

Fox has all this heartache now........ I just see him as another Jim Fassle. The funny thing, this team in terms of personell doesn't reflect the Fox style of ball which makes me wonder about the Hurney/Fox relationship.

You really don't like Fox do you?

Liked him early in his career and thought we finally have a coach, but he set the expectations that he never came close to living up to. The last 4 or 5 years have been rediculous under his leadership. Is that his fault or Marty's? I will always thank him for the best and most exciting football season I have ever witnessed though...

Fair enough.
