None of the above. DWilliams is a top 5 RB in this league and I would hate to watch him walk and then one of Stew or Goodson gets injured. We have tons of money to re-sign Williams and let Goodson be the KR/PR, w/some duties as RB and slot WR.

Not ready to give up on Double Trouble just yet. Just keep all 3.

Dwill will not be a Panther next year. We will do a sign and trade. Goodson and Stewart could be DT2. Add a late to mid round prospect like Baron Batch of Texas Tech, Derek Locke of Kentucky or a Undrafted FA Shaun Draughn of UNC.

as beat up as these guys get, we have to make sure we have 2 that are ready to go at all times. it's pretty much essential to have all of this talent there if we have any hopes of winning for a couple years.

I understand, but contracts will come into play here. If we want to eventually become a passing team (like the rest of the NFL), we will need to start going that way in 2011 and be there by 2012. But if we keep D-Lo and lock him down for a long time...then do the same with J-Stew...we are basically saying we are a run first team until their contracts expire again. We need to be careful.

We used to have all of our money locked up in the D-Line. We have many holes to fill, and need to think about the future. Double Trouble is going to want money. This year, it's DeAngelo and I think Stewart is next year. If we pay them top dollar, that limits what other top dollar guys we can bring in. The smartest move is to keep one, get a pick for the other, and let Goodson step up. We can always draft/sign a #3 if we are moving away from the running game.

Yeah, we need to spread the money around. I would much rather have a new big time FA DT and guard than Dwill. Brandon Mebane and Carl Nicks would be targets that fill holes on the trenches.

Sure Goodson is having an impressive year and his stats prove it. BUT, I think most of us aren't yet willing to dump D-will just because of his hot-streak. Remember he got all of the carries during that time. Now that Stew is back, he is lighting it up too. It has always taken our O-line a while to gel, though this year it just took a little longer. The most important stat is his KR numbers. This is why I say don't trade him. Before Goodson, our special teams return yards was HORRIBLE. I say we keep all three.

That's retarded. D-Lo can be a good running back for another 3-4 seasons. Stewart another 4-5. You want Goodson to just sit around and be a simplistic kickoff returner for all or part of that? Who every now and then fills in? Talk about a waste of a talent. And I'm sure he'd just LOVE that pathetic role.

We as Panther fans need to take a step back from time to time and stop looking at this team with so much love and look at them for what they are. No team in the NFL has three stud RBs because no team needs three stud RBs. Most teams have one stud, and one capable guy that can take the load off from time to time. More than a few teams share the load, but with one getting way more carries. A few teams do have three (Cowboys, Saints come to mind) but also use a passing attack and don't count on those three RBs.

We need to understand that this league has changed. We can't win with smashmouth football and a run game here. We have to understand that the players are human beings, not some pawns we can just toss around like an armchair GM. DeAngelo and Stewart are both #1s. Some can argue Goodson can start in this league. It's a waste of their talents, and a waste of our payroll to keep all three here. In a fantasy world, it looks sweet I know. But we have to be real here. Trading one will only help us get an extra draft pick (which we need right now) and free up cap space to make this team better.

As for injuries, it happens on every team every season. Some of you act like it'd be the end of the world if our RB squad took a hit. Guess what? The old Panthers would take that hit. Where this team needs to go in the future to compete YEARLY? We'll manage the hit. If we don't it's mediocre city for the next decade until we get our heads out of our asses and learn how to build a proper team.
