Clausen nominated for rookie of the week

well, Blount lose to the Lions. A loss is a loss.

What is it with The Golden Calf of Bristol???? listen, i am a The Golden Calf of Bristol fan, but his touchdown pass wasnt as good as people think and even he admits that the run he had was a play he messed up on. As for Blount losing, he lost in overtime, but like i said, WHY are we acting like The Golden Calf of Bristol had a 300 yard passing game in a loss?? Colt McCoy is the one who got screwed here, not The Golden Calf of Bristol. McCoy had over 200 yards and almost upset the Bengals and that was with Hillis having a bad game. As for The Golden Calf of Bristol, i want him to be great, but let's not crown him as the next best thing or rookie of the week this week when Clausen won his first start and others (like McCoy) had better numbers. If The Golden Calf of Bristol is as great as i and SOME (not all) want him to be, he will win this award sometime in the next two games.

and Clausen's was something? at least he added a franchise record setting TD run on top of his passing TD.

I got no problem with Colt getting some love. Both were more productive than Jimmy.

I am not a The Golden Calf of Bristol fan...but for his first NFL start the kid did decent. Like I said he generated more offense than Clausen has in any game. He played a top 5 pass D which is tough for a rookie's first start.

it's like i said though, his touchdown throw wasnt that pretty, i like The Golden Calf of Bristol now, dont get me wrong, but he was limited and rarely used, i think Clausen is on here just because of his first win.

I agree it wasn't pretty. Neither was Clausen's. Difference is The Golden Calf of Bristol also added yards on the ground and a very impressive TD run. The Golden Calf of Bristol was also making his first start and did so against the #5 pass defense and played a decent team. Clausen played decent. All things factored in The Golden Calf of Bristol imo had the more impressive day....opponent, total production, and first start factored in. If Clausen did the exact same thing and won tommorrow I would vote for him in a heartbeat.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't vote for our own guy in this..

Unless your just trying to spite him..

Some people might vote for who they actually think is deserving instead of just voting for a guy on their team. Not me, but some people might. Just saying.
