At least the Panthers games have meaning

It doesn't matter if Luck declares. What matters is that we have the first pick. That way we can draft Luck, or anyone else we think is right, OR trade it for a later first and get a second rounder back. That's why not winning is more important than a meaningless win against the Steelers and the Falcons. If we don't get the 1st pick, we will get a Top 5 prospect sure, but will have no second rounder. But if we get the 1st pick, we either get the best prospect on the board, or a top prospect and a 2nd rounder...which we sorely need as we have many holes that need to be filled.

There are situations where there is more to a franchise than getting a win. This is one of them.

So yeah, these two games have huge meaning, and if He Who Should Not Be Named is as good as he is thought to be...these two games could possibly turn this entire franchise around one day. It's the most exciting gamble there is.

I think it does matter...if we get the #1 pick and no Luck then anything else would be a slight reach.IMO

Then tell me who, as a college prospect, was ever better? Find some articles to back up your opnion. Yes, I said opinion, but you think nobody except you are allowed to have one, even though mine is based on fact and not an innate desire to be a jerk --your word, not mine. I gave reasons the greatest QBs of all time had concerns--find equal concerns with Luck and post them.

Sure, and how about a bust to make a point.

Tony Mandarich: can't miss offensive line prospect

People write nice things about good college players. It doesn't make them perfect.

I posted concerns with Luck. He is inexperienced. He wasn't the focal point of the offense in one of his two years. He played in a Pac-10 that is always criticized for not playing defense. I would link you to something on that, but no draft websites that I go to have posted a scouting report on him yet because he might not come out. Find me a scouting report and I bet it says something along those lines, and they say it because he isn't flawless. I guess it may kill you to deal with that, but it is the case.

Face it man. He may be great, but it is stupid to overstate someone that much. The greatest prospect of all time? He is great, and he should go number one this year if he comes out. He does, however, have his blemishes like everybody, but I do not understand why bringing that up makes you flip your poo.

Yea.. umm I don't think Luck is a drug addict or take steroids -_-

Mandarich had MASSIVE character issues that were ignored in the evaluation period.. Something that is stressed from here to kingdom come these days mainly because of him and recent draft picks. He literally told NFL general managers before the draft he was juicing and if they didn't want him don't pick him. Dallas passed on his for a reason and he wasn't the #1 pick despite what all the critics said which was a sign for his poor character.

It's not about the issues, Luck has his. It's about the hype, and you had people there, actual NFL scouts, saying he was going to be better than Anthony Munoz and the only criticism being that he didn't play baseball.

How about Courtney Brown? Great character and physical tools? People said he was the next Bruce Smith.
