HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS WILL AFFECT FORSYTH... GUILFORD... NORTHERN ALAMANCE... NORTHERN DAVIDSON... NORTHERN ORANGE... NORTHWESTERN RANDOLPH AND PERSON COUNTIES...

HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF UP TO TWO INCHES PER HOUR WILL MOVE NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH 700 PM EST.

THESE HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS WILL IMPACT LOCATIONS INCLUDING JAMESTOWN... SURL... WELCOME... HIGH POINT... CLEMMONS... ROXBORO... MIDWAY... LEWISVILLE AND GREENSBORO THROUGH 700 PM EST.

SOME LOCATIONS IN GUILFORD AND FORSYTH COUNTIES HAVE ALREADY REPORTED OVER 2 INCHES OF SNOW AND LOCATIONS IN THE AFOREMENTIONED COUNTIES CAN EXPECT 1 TO 2 INCHES OF NEW SNOW. THE SNOW WILL FALL ONTO WARM ROAD SURFACES... WHICH WILL CAUSE SNOW TO MELT. HOWEVER PATCHES OF SNOW AND ICE WILL CREATE SOME SLICK SPOTS... ESPECIALLY ALONG BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES. THE SNOW WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN ONE MILE AND OCCASIONALLY TO LESS THAN A HALF MILE. REDUCE DRIVING SPEEDS AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.

I have about an inch of snow outside so far and even though the radar has shown the rain/snow mix where I live at all day, it seems the real change over is closer to Charlotte and Raleigh at the moment.
