I've listened to high school football broadcasts that were better than what Mixon does.

And Robinson is great as a color analysis. He is just unfortunate enough that the main voice (Mixon) sucks ass, therefore he gets a bad rap too.

Eugene is entertaining and knows what he's talking about. Szoke is smart and funny. And Mick, he's actually gotten decent at the play-by-play, plus I think it's kind of appropriate to have a guy with a drawl as the Panthers announcer.

Is Rosinski better? Yeah.

Is it bad how he was let go? Depends on who you ask, but most fans would say yes.

Even allowing for Rosinski being screwed over though, that's not Mixon's fault. People shouldn't crack on him seeing as he had nothing to do with it.

While Mixon is unbearable at times, they are often better than the TV announcers that Fox gives us.

I agree with this. Did you hear during the Arizona game one of the announcers say Jonathan Stewart was a 7th round pick?

Steve Smith has punched teammates and wasn't let go. Rosinski looks like Smith compared to these guys. A lot of times talented people have quirks. Bill's little thing about wanting rings wasn't worth canning the best radio guy the team has ever had.

In fairness, an on-field player is infinitely more vital than a radio announcer and will be given a much longer leash.

That said, from what I've read, the ring flap was not the only issue involved in Rosinski's departure.

Was out of town for a long weekend. Had to listen to the game via the Panthers radio broadcast. These are my thoughts:

• The Cards offense was its own worst enemy
  
• Stew had 70 yds in the 1st qtr and a 10ypc. He had nothing else until mid/late 4th qtr. Can I guess the play calling was suspect?
  
• Foxy got a lead and quit playing????????
  
• Sadly, the radio guys are terrible. All of them.
  

I am very glad that the Panthers got to 2 wins. I am also even happier that the Bengals won.

Actually, Foxy got a lead and kept pounding with the run game, even though the Cardinals stepped up on defense and stopped. Guess I don't really blame him, we have had so few opportunities to pound away this late in the game.

I also like Eugene Robinson, but Mixon not so much. I might have a slight bias against him though with him being a former member of the evil empire.

If they were going to hire a local college guy, Stan Cotten or the guy from NCSU would have been a better choice. Those two are much better.
