ESPN talked about the Panthers? I must have missed that 10 seconds...

They mentioned the Panthers twice during the broadcast by my count, both times included the "Chuckin' Jimmy Claussen" comment, then at the end of the broadcast, they were included in a summary of the games that they didn't cover.

I think the last thing is to let pissed off fans know that their game wasn't the only one deemed unworthy of coverage.

I heard it, they were talking about the Steelers' next game and the likely hood that Polamalu won't play. Then they sarcastically mentioned Clausen and the Panthers. (Indicating they probably won't need him to beat us.)
