Cowher eyes three teams and none are from Charlotte

Winning will bring the fans back ultimately. Look at the Falcons after Petrino dumped them and Vick went to jail. They hired some low profile "loser" coach and drafted a QB who wasn't that highly regarded at the time. It took a few seasons to get their fans back in the seats, but it was winning that did the job. That's all I ask for. I don't care if the fans don't want to come back or not, but you can guarantee they will when we win.

'ultimately' can be a very very long time.

In this economy, and people without jobs, even longer.

These types of economic times, combined with a CBA lockout looming, and a bad team on the field, does not put butts in seats unless there is hope, big time hope, and right now, there isn't any and Grimm is simply not going to be enough.

What are we to think of Grimm? The two major teams he was with, both the Redskins and the Steelers passed on him. What does that say?

I think the story is where Cowhers fire is...it cannot be as strong. If the three teams are correct it has a common theme...MONEY!

Texans and Miami would be free of State taxes...more cash... NY would just be one of the highest paying jobs in the NFL and the media spotlight is the greatest. ...MONEY...

Really I feel that people just want Cowher for the comfort of familiarity..revamping a 4-3 to 3-4 is in itself a great process..adding a year of rebuilding I think.

I want a coach hungrier...

Being passed on by Dan Snyder is a positive imo.

cowher doesn't want to be bothered with a rebuild team and a bunch of young guys. we don't want to be bothered with a coach who is looking for a cush job.

cowher wants to go to a situation that already has a team in place ready to make a run so he doesn't have to do any work.

we need someone here who is looking to build a team and who has some fire. that just ain't cowher.

Cowher’s wish list, per Mort, consists of the Dolphins, Texans, and Giants.

Former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis previously linked Cowher to the Giants job, and since Bettis knew that Cowher would call it quits after the 2006 season before the 2006 season even started, we’ve deferred to the Bus in this regard. The problem, of course, is that the Giants remain solidly in contention for a playoff berth, which would most likely ensure Tom Coughlin’s return for 2011.

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has been pushing the Cowher-to-Houston notion for a while. It all depends on whether coach Gary Kubiak gets fired. Earlier this week, owner Bob McNair didn’t sound like a guy who was thinking about making a change.

he could still get his wish

I think Coughlin just lost his job with that loss
