Orlando Shuffle

Meh, decent trade. I'm one of the few who thinks this doesnt make Orlando all that much better. I do bet that Orlando was glad to get that disappearing act, Lewis, out of there though. Dude was making too much money, and not producing.

"Turgy" has been on the decline for years, and just because he's back with Orlando, I still dont see him doing all that much. J-Rich should be decent for them, putting up slightly better numbers than Vince. Not really sold on Gortat yet. I do hope Agent Zero can turn it around and somewhat return to how he was 2-3 years ago. I'm an Arenas fan, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. I dont know if he cares about basketball anymore. Orlando better hopes this work, because they've sure thrown a lot of money into some aging players. Glad Jordan didnt get involved in this, but they need to do something

Sad the Bobcats didn't make any moves but none of the players involved in those trades are that good or even worth investing in aside from Gortat. Arenas, Lewis, Carter, Turkoglu, etc are about the same as Jack and Gerald. We need to rebuild with young talent and cheap contracts. Trading Wallace or Jax for any of these guys would have been utterly pointless.

We don't even let young guys like Hendo and Brown play, so even these trades are pointless until we get a new coach and/or change or philosophy.

Wrong, trading Jax for Carter would have freed up significant cap room this offseason, allowed Hendo to get some playing time, and allowed the Bobs to invest in some younger players in the offseason and maintain some of the younger players on the roster.

Expiring contracts would be nice, didn't know Carter was up, but don't think it would have any change on Hendo's play time. Probably McGuire would have seen more minutes.
