Panthers should win Sunday

Panthers should win because they will not have to throw the ball against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. The running game is looking up, largely because Schwartz is catching on at RG. They have one of the worst passing offenses in the NFL as well, and a 5th round rookie starting his second game and first on the road. In addition, Every team in the NFC WEST is a last place team in another division, except ours. Their records are bad, but inflated to be better than the team is.

The Cardinals, however, are still in the playoff hunt.

To me, on the road, that just adds pressure. The Panther defense will put 7 or 8 in the box and force Hightower to earn it and the rookie to throw it.

I think that we win this one and I think we play Atlanta's bench in week 17 after 10 days to prepare.

If I am Richardson, I too treat the Atlanta game like a preseason game, looking at talent for next season. I might start players like Stanford (CB) Neblett (DT) and Bernadeau at Center (in the event Kalil leaves). Armanti would play for Smith the entire game and Sutton would carry the ball 25 times.

IF you are hoping for Luck , then pray for the following (not all necessary):

Cincy beats Cleveland

Arizona beats Carolina

Denver beats Oakland

Buffalo wins

Detroit wins

Mr. Scot can take it from here, but Cincinnati has no shot at its next 2 games. If they lose to Cleveland and the Panthers win tomorrow, I would say Luck is lost.

Cards scored 43 on Denver last week, so a win is far from a given.

We have no chance to beat the Steelers and a Steelers win counts 2x as much against the Bengals SoS as it does ours.

Saints are nibbling at the heels of the Falcons so barring a complete collapse by the Saints the Falcons will most likely have to play their starters against us to win the division... and we have no chance against the Falcons starters.

If we win tomorrow we are still very much in the hunt for the # 1 pick and if we lose you might as well go ahead and order your Luck jersey...

I had a dream last night that Arizona won a close one and then won out the rest of the way to win their division and make the playoffs with a losing record.

LOL, that would be awesome...

Everyone argues that the playoff system should be re-configured so the 6 teams with the best records in each conference go to the playoffs, but look what a 9-7 Cards team did our 12-4 team in 2008... (hate to bring that up, sorry)

The AZ game will probably come down to turnovers and big plays in the return game. AZ is the better team imo, and don't forget Wharton is out. Not to mention Gross is on the downside of his career, and Kalil is not that good, so don't expect the running game to dominate even the lowly Cards. I expect AZ to win this super sh!tty game, and lock us in for Luck (please come out).

I think in the rare case a division winner finishes below.500 the team with the best record that isn't already in the playoffs should take their place.

Below .500 teams should never make the playoffs EVER.

i have to agree with that, just not fair to winning teams to have a losing team win a division

Cincinnati plays the Chargers and the Ravens to finish out the season. Since we both played the Ravens, that's a wash. We don't have San Diego on our schedule, however, so we have to root for them to lose. Other teams they played that are not on our schedule are NE, MIA, PITT, NYJ and IND. Losses by those teams will all bring down the Bengals SOS. Wins by NYG, StL, CHI, SF, and SEA will bring up ours.

if God told me we would go 12-4 next year but get destroyed by a 9-7 team... i would be ok with that :(
