PSL Trouble Guys? What's up?

You guys crack me up. Let us have a bad season, and you "Jonhnny 6 packs" are nowhere to be found, while PSL owners already have paid their money for tickets, no matter the weather or the type of season we're having.

Yup. I laugh my butt off when Joe 6-pack cries about not getting tickets through the single game sales because of PSL owners.

Were you the same guy laughing at me as I paid full price for upper level tickets in 2001 to watch the team go 1-15? What goes around comes around.

There were times that I literally could not give my extra tickets away ....

Builds character! :D

Dang Skippy. I'm a proud member of the "20,000 people that were at the last game in 2001 to witness the history of 15 straight losses in a single season, even though it was 35 degrees and raining" Club.

I've always wondered how many other PSL owners were there with me.

I imagine that most non-corporate PSL owners were there... Corporate PSL's where the tickets are given away probably didn't show. Casual fans usually don't place a high value on something given to them for free.

But, I thought it was the "real" fans who couldn't afford PSLs ... they were the ones turning down tickets.

The argument has happened so many times it's made PSL owners on here defensive. You guys rock in my mind! You paid for the seats and buy the tickets and deserve to enjoy it. I don't know of a single PSL owner who is on this forum who is not a "real" fan and for that matter, don't know of a single PSL owner who bought his PSLs on a personal rather than a corporate level to give to customers who isn't.

But that still doesn't mean I have to like the corporate PSL owners who pass out their tickets to people who may or may not be fans of the team. I realize that is part of how we got our team and can appreciate that, but it still pisses me off when I see people who got their tickets from a corporate account and come to the stadium more for amusement than to be a fan. Those are the ones who come late and leave early - and gives the PSL "fans" a bad name...

Mintal, the two seats next to me have been corporate tickets since day one. I've met some of the most genuine fans you can imagine sitting in those seats. Sure you get the occasional Steelers or Redskins fan, but most of the people there are at their first game and know they're not going to get the opportunity to go again any time soon.

Stereotypes just kind of suck, and it gets really old listening to those who aren't willing to put their money where their fan-hood is call us wine and cheesers and criticize how we perform as fans.

My point was that those who buy their PSL and subsequent tickets on their own dime are fans, period! The ones who get them from corporate giveaways are a crap shoot, could go either way. Sure you get some real fans, but you're just as likely to get someone who is another team's fan or simply don't follow football. Nothing against you guys, it's just the way it happens. I think that's where most of the criticism/frustration on here comes from...
