PSL Trouble Guys? What's up?

I disagree. The people who didn't pay should be thankful they're getting a reprieve even if they have to pay for it. They could have easily bought their tickets and sold them to recoupe the costs if they could not afford it

They are probably giving everyone a reprieve because of the economy. I agree The tickets could have been easily sold before the game.

If you bought PSLs without reading the fine print, and were surprised about this when you didn't buy the playoff tickets, call me. I've got some contracts I'd like to sign with you.

I am going through a separation, and really couldn't afford the tickets at the time. I did sell mine for almost twice the price.

Granted, what the Panthers did was well within their rights. Considering this city's economy is banking and BofA announced lay offs in December before the playoff game, and Wachovia has yet to start their major lay offs, not really the best PR move the Panthers have ever done.

If someone is serious about buy 2 PSLs together, contact me.

I understand the wording of the contract, and I understand that the rules weren't changed. And while it's admirable of the Panthers to come up with an escape clause to allow people to keep their PSLs, I think a little more time would have made the gesture more admirable. I'd be interested in seeing how many people didn't buy the tickets.

The national media has gotten hold of it now. We thought two cheerleaders giving each other toungue baths made us look bad....

Well...the Redskins have laided off 30 workers in the last couple months. They even laid off their Research and Development dept...... which made me laugh.

You probably don't see anything wrong with it because none of you have PSL's

I have PSLs, and I have my name on a Panther outside the stadium. I don't have the best seats, but they're mine and I take responsibility for them. I've had to use a credit card for tickets before, and I've been late. In the last recession I had a devil of a time. We had a lot of Zataran's and Hamburger Helper around then, but I managed to scrape together the money for my tickets. I know what a contract means, and I know how to honor one.

Honestly, I think the people who bitch about this the most either don't have PSLs or bought more than they could afford. I guess you'll be hitting Uncle Sam up for help on your mortgage next?

I'm an original PSL holder too and I agree with Cyberjag and GTG. Buying playoff tickets was part of the deal that we all signed up for. I think the Panthers are not necessarily being generous about giving people the chance to reinstate their PSLs though. I think in this rough economy, they simply don't want them back

I have PSLs, and I see nothing wrong with the Panthers' position.

In fact, it's generous of them to allow people to have skipped out on buying the playoff tickets and let them pay a pittance of a couple of hundred dollars to retain the PSLs. This is likely because the PSLs aren't in too much demand after that playoff loss.

Anyone who complains about this really isn't the target audience for PSLs.
