Not playing a West Coast Offense makes a pretty big difference. McNabb's not as good as he was when he was in Andy Reid's system.

This is why you don't sign WCO guys as free agents when your team doesn't run that system.

Vick looks great, Kolb looked really good, McNabb looked really good.....it's a damn system ya'll.

McNabb is and has always been an average QB, about the same as Shanny, neither are great.

Also the Iggles got a 2nd round pick last year and a conditional 3rd or 4th this year for McNabb. By sitting #5 do they assure the Iggles get a 4th in 2011 and not the Skin's 3rd?

The only way that the pick would have been a third rounder is if a) The Redskins won 9 games with McNabb playing 70% of the snaps (so that's out with them already losing 8 games) or if McNabb made the Pro Bowl. With Brees, Vick, Rodgers, Ryan, Freeman, and even Cutler and Bradford arguably having better seasons in the NFC what are the odds of that happening?

That blows the hell out of my theory.

I guess the only way he could feasably sneak into the Pro Bowl would have been to tear it up these last 3 weeks, then have 2 or 3 QBs opt out do to "injuries", which is not uncommon.
