V-Jax is a beast!

Let's see if Jerry puts his money where his mouth is this off season. Draft a QB, reinvent the O-line, and acquire Vincent Jackson to go along with Smitty (and perhaps Gettis, Lafell, and/or the Movie Star), and we'd have one of the most potentially explosive and potent offenses in the league.

Ol' J-Rich is probably just running his trap, but we can all dream.

Settle down, this is Carolina. Vincent Jackson has 2 DUIs, the last one the night before the Chargers playoff game last year.

He's one postitve test away from a 1 year suspension by the NFL. VJax needed to come in this year, sign his tender and prove that he is worth a long term contract. Neither AJ Smith or VJax is a winner in this standoff.

One thing for sure, there is no chance in hell he will be wearing a Panther uniform next year.

Jerry Richardson does not sign players with baggage.

It is what it is.

Actually (if you really think about it, and see the raw potential), Gettis could very well be a V-Jax type in the making. He just has to get more experience route running, watching film, and learning the telltale signs of opposing defenses. Stay with me now...can't you see it?

Of course, there is the question at QB...

 you sound so..........logical.this can not be. I still would like for us to look at him, but at the end of the day he won't be a Panther....which makes me a sad panda

My bad, he did have to get a ride to the playoff game from Phillip Rivers though after being busted by the cops. :yesnod:

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson was pulled over by a San Diego police officer several hours before the team's AFC playoff game against the New York Jets on Sunday, 10News reported.

San Diego Police Department spokesman Gary Hassen confirmed the officer pulled over Jackson's vehicle early Sunday morning because he was playing loud music. It is believed Jackson was heading to the team's Murphy Canyon-area facility. The officer reported Jackson's vehicle tags were expired and learned Jackson was driving on a suspended license, which is a misdemeanor.

According to Hassen, Jackson was taken out of his vehicle and handcuffed for a short period of time. With the choice to take Jackson to jail or cite him, the officer cited the wide receiver and impounded his vehicle, Hassen said

"It wouldn't have been good if he hadn't played. He's a big part of what we do," head coach Norv Turner told the media on Monday.

Sources told 10News Jackson was given a ride to Qualcomm Stadium by quarterback Philip Rivers.

Nice distraction.

Yup.

It's funny that everyone in the league wants to sign Mike Vick, but seem scared to sign Jackson. Both are on the hot seat if the screw up one time.
