Boo...go try some physio and see if they can find the real source of the problem. Sounds like so far, you've only dealt with results of the problem and not the problem iteself!

Go find a competent physio, 9/10 they'll find the problem and set out a program for you to fix it.

almost directly above my right shoulder blade. no, breathing does not hurt, its just constant pain. Now Im standing at my desk.

Boo you really should go talk to a doctor of some kind about it.

My step mom told me and I confirmed this with a little research that it is possible this sort of pain could be a sign of impending heart attack (common location in women). Which as I'm sure you are aware is serious.

It probably isn't that since you have been suffering from it for a good while but pain in this location is not something you can dismiss and hope it gets better.
