The Next Head Coach

I would say its a 30 percent chance he would go to michigan, 40 percent that he stays at stanford and 30 percent he would go to nfl. That 40 percent chance of michigan is only if the job comes open. There are other reasons why he wouldn't go to michigan, but that idea that michigan doesn't present any challenges is stereotypical. Michigan isn't the same michigan of ten years ago. They have athletes under rich rod's scheme that are not inner-changeble into harbaugh's pro teachings. So it would take a few years for harbaugh to get his players into the program and michigan isn't hte recruiting base cali and west coast is. But, i think the only way harbaugh goes to the NFL now would be if the team that drafts luck is the team that offers him the job. Aka, this may be the year. imo, fwiw.

I totally agree with you. However, I think that Harbaugh understands that, and I think Luck and the #1 overall pick are all pieces to the puzzle. Get the # 1 pick is piece one, harbaugh and luck are piece two/three in either order. I would assume its harbaugh and then luck, purely on the fact that we can talk to Harbaugh as soon as we finish the game with the falcons and he wipes the floor with Va tech.

I cannot wrap my mind around which choice would be the best. I dont know why everyone thinks that going back to you're college playing days is the dream job for a coach. Harbaugh has nothing to prove if he goes to Michigan. I think the next jump for him is the Pros. He will be enticed because of the 1st overall draft pick (hopefully). I just have a feeling about him. I want him here... no homo.

I got the same feeling. It just seems like our planets are aligned. I really feel something great coming out of those two weather their here or somewhere else. I didn't watch much football last couple of years cause of work and a new addition to the family. A lot has changed but this is our chance to make something Great whether its harbaugh and luck or even a vet QB and grimm.

Imho the younger players on our team will come out of a slump if we can only get a decent qb. I feel like the panthers have given up this year, but who knows maybe after a lil luck (Andrew or not) in two years time will be a 500 team again

Sorry for errors posting this from a blackberry

I think it might come down to these 4.

Jim Harbaugh

Sean Mcdermott

Russ Grimm

Ron Rivera

But at the end i think the top two candiates will be Rivera an Grimm..If harbaugh dont stay in college.I believe it will be Harbaugh And Grimm. But i think Harbaugh stays. So i think it will come down Between Sean Ron Rivera an Russ Grimm..

I'm not really impressed with the way McDermott's defense has been performing as a whole but i'm still not forgetting he excelled as a position coach and his aforementioned dedication is also a plus, and it's not like every good head coach was an excellent coordinator (offense or defense) either. Plus I just like the way they attack the offense in philly and to bring that philosophy here can be a refreshing change

McDermott has done well considering the amount of injuries on the Eagles defense. But I still don't like giving a head coaching job to someone under 40.
