I wasn't ready to predict that Dallas would let go of Garrett, but there are now rumblings that they might. Still don't see him here, though.

If you read his Twitter, Gantt doesn't take Grimm seriously as a candidate. He believes that Harbaugh is "in play" and will be "a big part" of the process though.

No word I can recall on Rivera, Fewell or others (don't think anyone's asked him).

I hope Gantt's right.

Garrett may not get the job - but he's definitely under contract, Jerry loves him, and he's forced him on the last coach - to the detriment of his hiring process. I don't think there's a concern as to whether or not Jones would force him on the next one, if he wanted.

I predicted Grimm because of the Hurney connection, though admittedly Harbaugh has connections to Hurney too. Neither one is really a direct connection, but Grimm's lasted longer.

if the FO is going to give the job to someone based at all on connections, i've lost hope in their ability to find the right guy already

But would Garrett accept a demotion?

Given that he's previously used other interviews to pull a "jealous girlfriend" type stunt on Jones, I have a feeling if he doesn't get the full time job, he'll want out.

If so, I believe someone will probably take him, though I don't expect it to be us.

did the guy just say that Grimm, Mccoy are likely candidates, then said Rivera is because they wouldn't go for a college guy, then left out Rivera and put Harbaugh back in??
