i recall him on the top of basically every single draft projection that i looked at last year. to tell you the truth, I don't remember not seeing him as the #1 pick overall.

It seems Adam didn't give us a chance to get Bill Cowher neither in a twitt earlier this week. It seems anything Adam think of Carolina will not get. It seems he thinks carolina will get another crappy coach for our troubles in the offseason the way it looks in his eyes. It seems he shoots down every good coach that is out there that will not come to carolina to be HC.

It's only because Schefter is reading too much into JR's financial decisions this year. Because he went cheap this year, Schefter assumes that is the direction he will go in the future. The problem is that JR's history tells a different story. The cost will not effect who our coach will be, but rather who JR/Hurney feel is the best fit for their vision.

If Adam talked about specific aspects of Harbaugh as a coach or the risk associated with bringing a college coach to the NFL being too much for JR, then I might take his view more seriously. However, his sole point in every example I have seen from him is that JR won't spend what it will take to get Harbaugh or any name coach...which is simply an uninformed and incorrect opinion.

Jake Locker would never have been the #1 pick if he had gone through the evaluation phase of the draft. All the projections of him as #1 were simply based on his physical attributes and potential, not his actual play. Once broken down, his many flaws would have been exposed and he would have likely been mid to late first...at best.

When he was with NFL Network, Schefter was reliable. Since bolting for ESPN, calling him "hit or miss" would be a compliment.

I don't see why Luck would stay in accept maybe if Cincy or Buffalo pick 1st. We're the best worst team out there by far (if that makes any sense). Luck would love for his HC to go to the Panthers, he also said that if Harbaugh stays he will.

I think Jerry WILL spend for a top coach like Cowher, especially someone with NC ties like him. Cowher gives your team instant swagger and national cache both of which our team sorely needs. Jerry almost has to do this.

You may want to get your vision checked then. If ANYONE had him over Bradford they are mentally challenged. Locker could never hold Bradford's jock, even in college their levels of talent weren't even close.

There were a lot of analysts that said if he came out that Locker would be the #1 pick, but that was before the evaluations and teams started really breaking down players. Locker wouldn't have survived that to be the #1 pick.

Also,until he was medically evaluated and teams actually saw him throw, there were a lot of questions about Bradford. By no means was he the consensus #1 until he answered the questions about his shoulder.
