i'm so glad i haven't yet attended a university with a football team so i won't be tempted to senselessly overrate players that i one time saw walking across the student center and they kinda looked at me and waved one time then i found a dollar

Oh come on Monstercat, you gushed on him like he was the next Peppers. Granted, I'm sure some of that was just to tweak State fans, but you can't deny you were pretty excited. :)

I think they were more excited about his situational pass rush potential (speed and agility) more then saying he was the next Peppers. I think the guy showed a lot of skill this year considering he was a 7th rounder and can't wait to see how high he can fly.

I never gushed over him as if he was a great player, I merely rubbed it into the faces of all the NC State fans and Zod that he made the team when they all said he didn't have a chance in hell.

Not once did I ever predict that Hilee Taylor would be a superstar or even a full time starter.

I think both Taylor and Johnson will perform awesome next year. I said a while back I think they both get to 11 sacks if they get the PT and stay healthy. The thing were really missing is another Starting DT Lewis should be part of a rotation with Hayden and kemo at the other DT spot.

Hilee Taylor was pretty good this year in pass rushing situations. However, I don't believe he is as strong as Freeney and I don't think he is any where near Freeney in terms of technique. Give him a couple more years and he may turn out pretty good...but that's up to how hard he wants to work and how hard the coaches push him.
