Hurney Must Go

Smitty, Witherspoon, Wharton, Manning, Godfrey, Johnson, Anderson, Beason, Davis, D. Williams, Stewart, Otah, Kalil, Gross, Gamble. Wtf else could you want out of round 1-3?

I think anyone with football savvy could have done that with the exception of Smitty.

big deal, all teams have a down year in the salary cap era. It's inevitable.

If the Panthers go 1-15, that will be the 7th time a team has gone 1-15 or worse since the Panthers joined the league. That's about 500 seasons in 16 years. 7 out of 500 and 2 belong to the Carolina Panthers. Lions haven't done it twice. Browns haven't. Raiders haven't. Rams haven't. Panthers have.

Other than allowing everyone to whine and complain about Hurney, this thread is going no where, which is exactly where Hurney is going. He does what JR wants him to and is the mouthpiece and fall guy for the organization. He already has had a contract extension handed to him which at least in the summer he hasn't signed. No telling if that has changed.

Boohoo. You are grabbing at straws just so you can whine about how much we suck.

Again that's a really trivial stat. I'm shocked at how backwards this logic is.

Lions haven't gone 1-15 but they did go 0-16. Remember that? You should because we played them during our 12-4 season where we made the playoffs as NFC south champions. Lions haven't made the playoffs since 1999.

In fact who was competing with us for that top pick the last time we went 1-15? THE LIONS. Who worked out better? Peppers or Harrington?

The Rams don't have two 1-15 seasons. But they did shock the world by winning 6 games over 3 years quite recently. 6-7 looks pretty good compared to that.

The crazy thing is that we haven't even finished the season yet. Even if we do finish 1-15 it still wont make sense. If we go 2-14 you'll just whip out the old NFL almanac to find some obscure stat to whine about.

You have absolutely no point whatsoever. At all.

Yeah, and last time we went 1 and 15, we didn't get the first pick in the following draft. That year, the first pick went to a franchise QB from the state of California who wore red on Saturday. His last name had 4 letters. (eerie!) If we had drafted him, we would have been in the Super Bowl many times.:drool5:

With a great quarterback, the best defensive player in football (yep, Suh should be Defensive Player of the Year, not just Rookie), and a great head coach, the future for the Detroit Lions looks much better than ours does...if we don't get Andrew Luck that is.

If Mathew Stafford gets injured again next season thats it for him. Detroit will be in the same boat. Thats what happens to a team with no Franchise QB to win games for u Good Defense or not. The era where the Ravens were awesome with a great defense is over. Look at pittsburgh they are a great team but with how the offense is playing there is no way they win the superbowl this year.

Keeping Jake Delhomme and letting an NFCC caliber team regress to this point should be enough to fire a GM. Other than his first round draft picks he hasn't made good decisions and I don't want him anywhere near our #1 overall pick. Please JR fire his moronic ass...just rebuild your FO with people who know what the hell their doing.

Nice to see we're actually using things that matter to gauge a franchise.
