Smitty closed door meeting with Richardson

I bet Cincy would take him and Clausen for a 2nd...

Actually kinda makes sense. They need a young QB to develop as Palmer is on the way out either this year or next and they're most likely dumping TO and possibly moving Ochocinco as well.

Plus they might want to keep Palmer for a year or so while a new QB develops on the bench but Palmer has a huge contract so it'd be hard to eat that and get a 1st round QB. A young guy with a cheap 2nd round contract would be appealing.

I've seen Smith be a douche to Clausen, not the other way around. He's not saying "trade me Jerry! I hate Clausen!" He's saying "trade me Jerry! I hate all of you!"

But Smitty is entitled to be a douche. He's good. Like I said, I bet he wouldn't be making a demand for a trade if Moore was still QB.

He may have thrown 2 picks a game, but he also got Smitty the ball and it was more entertaining to watch. He's gotta feel invisible out there unless he acts like a dick to Clausen, so I don't blame him.

And no contract negotiations have been done with DWill. What happens if he walks for nothing where we could have easily gotten a 2nd rounder, possibly even a 1st. God I love our FO.

If you think we could have gotten a first or second for DWill, you are completely insane.

He's under contract so we can trade him to whoever we want. Not much he can do about it.

obviously but nobody in their right mind is going to accept that trade if steve smith is going to bitch and moan about having clausen come with him. The Bengals have enough problems if u think they would be happy to get another headache on their hands.

Every week this season, the Panthers find a new low. Just when you think they can't go any lower, they find a way.

This is the lowest I'm seen this franchise go since it's inception. And it keeps getting worse, week by week.

I hope someone asks Smitty point blank if he demanded a trade. Regardless of his answer, we'll be able to get some more insight and possibly deduce whether he did or not.

If he did ask for a trade, MAN, JR has FUBAR'd this franchise to the nth degree. As I said earlier in the season - there is no question now, this is the worst season and time as a Panthers fan in general. It is really a low point.

If Smitty leaves... Smh... I don't know, this is bad.

But, we all want to be like the Patriots and the Steelers.....and the Patriots were willing to move Randy Moss.

God, our fanbase does not get it.

You move players that are on the downside of their career....that is why the Patriots and the Steelers are the model franchises in the NFL.

Before he was injured this year, yeah. Green Bay is/was desperate as hell for a RB and trying to put together a postseason run and we had numerous teams calling looking to trade for DWill so there's your leverage. Not really out of the question to get a 2nd round pick for a pro bowl RB still in his prime.
