We would get someone YOUNG to replace Trgovac and build him as our next head coach in a few years???

I am not dissing Meeks by no means, for all I know he can be a great coach here... But lets face it, he is not exactly a young, upcoming coach. He has been on the head coaching radar before but him and Fox are almost the same age and it is not likely that neither Meeks or Fox will remain coaches for much longer.

Maybe I will be wrong, maybe that we will get a few young guys in to help coach the DBs, LBs, and DL but Gantt's theory, so far, has been incorrect...

He's only 54. At some time you will come to realize that there are only two ages: older than you and younger than you.

If he's younger than you that would be good.

That idea was just a bunch of fans on the internet giving their opinion of what "should be done". It had nothing to do with the direction management of this team wants to head.

Please remember that blogs, message boards, and for that matter anything written by journalists are just that....someone elsee's opinion. They bear absololutely no resemblance of the truth.

Bottom line is that Fox wanted to pick the best guy he could from his available choices who he felt had compatible philosophies and could build the defense and give him the best change to win. I am sure issues such as age were very well down the list. How many coaches really would pick a young guy as a coordinator so he could replace the coach down the road. That kind of thinking is for guys on their last leg ready to retire. The fact that Fox didn't consider that as a factor suggests he isn't exactly ready to hang it up anytime soon.

Sorry to disappoint those waiting for his demise.
