Everette Brown to IR

At least it wasn't a leg injury so he can still practice his spin move.

hahah this guys never going to catch a break. If we didnt give up a good 1st rounder to get him and he was a legit mid 2nd round pick no one would care but we had to trade down cuz hurney had a boner over him

What is done is done. Atleast he contributes as opposed to another certain player we gave up a high draft pick for

This is a shame. Brown has been quietly under the radar this year and actually had a much better campaign than people want to give him credit for last year as well. Some seem to forget he is only 23!

He is second on our team in pressures and has eclipsed all his numbers from 2009. As long as he can keep progressing at a steady rate we will have a legit DE team between himself, Johnson and Hardy. Like many have said, we just need even adequate pressure up the gut to start creating some serious pressure along the front 4.

Obviously if our scheme changes Brown could be completely void for us :S

Nah, many would still complain. Unless the guy becomes a pro bowler, some will never give him a break. Personally, I think it sucks that he got injured, because he was starting to show something. Hopefully, his improvement will continue next year.

Sorry to hear about Everette's injury but I'm glad Hardy is going to get more snaps as a result.

Hardy is on the verge of breaking out. We saw glimpses in the preseason, but that was without gameplanning. I was at an OTA and he was running as a gunner--and he was winning the battles.
