Bad Feeling About the Arizona Game (as in good results)

I don't hope for us to lose, but I obviously expect us to. At this point in our season and with the current state of things though, winning does us no good. Losing is to our benefit.

That being said, I haven't had this feeling about any other game since we last beat the Niners that I remember. I really feel like we're gonna back our way into a win Sunday and destroy the chances of getting the #1 pick.

Why?

*We are last in the league in YPG (263.2), guess who's next to last? That's right, the Cardinals (272.4).

*We are 26th in points allowed (26.0) while the Cards are worse, 30th to be exact, giving up 27 points a game.

*We are actually solid in pass coverage, we're 10th in the league giving up only 205.5 passing ypg. Cards are again, worse, at 25th allowing 235.9 per game.

*And here's where I see the biggest potential problem: We have been running the ball well despite our overall suckage. Well, the Cards are 30th in the league in rush yards allowed per game, giving up 143.3 ypg.

the cardinals scored more points in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game than we have all year... and hell, more than our what, last 4 games combined?

I think outside Goodson and Kasay, their kicker scored more total points than any one active player on offense that we have right now, lol.

I don't expect near as much offense out of them, and I am a bit worried, but they are a much better team... but maybe not when they're on the east coast!

Yeah I thought that earlier in the season too, but if you've watched their actual games, their passing game is horrible, almost as bad as ours in efficiency, at least it looks that way. And of course, they still don't run the ball well so we'll prolly control the clock, bust off a few runs, pick a few passes and accidentally win.

Skelton didn't look that bad, and they had a decent running game. Dunno, I'm not sold one way or another on the outcome.

Watch Clausen morph into Manning for one game, before returning to suckitude. One game would be just long enough to knock us away from Luck probably, lol.

I predicted that in a thread yesterday, along the lines of "in a season he's been so good at f*cking up, he'll continue the trend and f*ck up our chances of getting the #1 pick..."

And I bet he'll laugh his ass off all season if he does so.
