So...........does that mean Fox is going to be lying around doing nothing for an entire month as our coach? Is Richardson going to try and get him to resign? Is he going to fire him? If we wait until after February, aren't the top candidates like Jim Harbaugh going to have made up their minds as to where they'll be in 2011 by then?

Also, the Super Bowl is Feb. 6. What would have happened if we were on a Super Bowl run this year and Fox's contract expired a week before we had played in the Super Bowl?

I'm really not sure about the 1st question but the answer the 2nd question you would think that he would have been extended if we were on a super bowl run.

How about this for a worst case scenario.

Fox walks like we all know he will. BUT....JR waits until the collective bargaining agreement is settled to hire a coach. If there is no football in 2011, he hires nobody and the Panthers are coachless in an effort to save money.
