So...........does that mean Fox is going to be lying around doing nothing for an entire month as our coach? Is Richardson going to try and get him to resign? Is he going to fire him? If we wait until after February, aren't the top candidates like Jim Harbaugh going to have made up their minds as to where they'll be in 2011 by then?

Also, the Super Bowl is Feb. 6. What would have happened if we were on a Super Bowl run this year and Fox's contract expired a week before we had played in the Super Bowl?

One month can mean quite a bit in the search for a new coach if things don't fall your way.

My bet is that he doesn't stick around for that month - the way they affect that will be the fun part to watch.

Oh my God, having a new head coach hired the week after the season ends and having Fox still part of the organization for an entire month afterwards would crack me up. Sad thing is that I'm sure Richardson has thought about doing that if it could save him money.
