Bengals closing in on the #1 pick

Judging college players off individual game performances is sketchy at best, especially since Luck doesn't play in a non-BCS conference. Their offense isn't designed for big QB performances because they are very balanced. I'm afraid you might be disappointed but it will be in no way an indication of Luck's future success/failure. Unless he completely sh*ts the bed and throws 5 picks.

No offense, but, you make me laugh.

First, you have been on Clausen's ass all year long for not only lack of wins; but, his lack of 'intangibles' and yet when I imply that I'm going to do the same with Mr. Luck, you say I might be disappointed. You offer to coach me on my evaluation of the same in Luck.

How hypocritical.

If Luck is all everyone has said, he should be just fine, what is the old over used saying 'big time players make big time plays in big games'.

I think you are missing my points on my criticism of Clausen. My criticism is not only of his lack of intangibles, but his lack of NFL physical tools as well. Just saying.

FWIW, I think Luck and Stanford tear of VaTech.

No. Strength of schedule gives it to Cincy. Head to head matchups don't count

Seems like no one will listen to you....and you are completely correct.

In the event of a tie, the weaker SOS wins the tiebreaker....head to head has no bearing on who gets the pick.

Our SOS is tougher than the Bengals....we both end up 2-14 and the Bengals get the #1 pick....there is no question about it.

Even if Cincy wins the #1 pick, I'm not so sure they pick a QB. They technically already have a 'franchise QB' with Palmer who is a former 1st rounder. He has not been playing well of late, but not sure they would throw him out yet.

The Bengals are even considering cutting or trading Palmer. He has struggled this season and has not been the same since the playoff injury.

Mark it down....If the Bengals get teh #1 pick and Luck is there, they WILL take him.

Even if some of you don't want Luck, still being able to get and trade the #1 pick would be great. I have a bad feeling we barely beat Arizona or beat Falcons back-ups and Cincy loses out. Nobody wants the #2 pick. So...who do we draft at #2?

one of the stud CB's or try our damnedest to trade up and pick up pieces.
