This is true... drivers ed is such a freaking joke. Pretty much any incompetent moron can get a license. The drivers test I took when I was 16 I could have passed when I was 8 and I've never had to take another actual driving test and that was 21 years ago. Crazy.

The tests, both written and driving, should be much more extensive and you should have to re-take them every 10 years or so.

old people should be required to take one annually or every 2 years. seriously. my grandpa cant even fuging see. literally. hes had eye surgery and is almost legally blind in both eyes. and they still let him drive.

Not saying this is totally the cause, and I dont know if you guys are talking about NC as a whole or just Charlotte, but this is an implant city. Most everyone here has moved from somewhere else.

Well I'm in Wilmington and the number of old people on the road is astonishing. Every damn time I go out I get behind some white haired grandma or some 95 year old man who can't see over the steering wheel.

I know they need to get around and I hate to take away peoples mobility but damn... it's not only annoying as hell, it's downright dangerous.

They're almost as bad as normal women drivers. :P

Lets see, in the past 5 years in Charlotte, I have been run off the road by 3 old people. This is like me beeping and cussing and throwing up my arms while Im like up on the curb and this old person is still just doo dee doo dee doo has no idea that they just ran me off the road and they are straddling both lanes.

I would call that dangerous.

Some days I think about just pulling out my phone and taping it so I can one day put together a compilation of the shitty ass Charlotte drivers.

Me too... just a month ago I was turning left at Monkey Junction where there are two left turn lanes... I was in the left and the old lady in the right lane and one car ahead decides that as she's turning she's going to use BOTH turn lanes. I stopped just in time to keep her from taking off my right side quarter panel.

I cursed her out at the next light. I don't think she even heard me... :lol:
