Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

a "top 5" rpg that can't even break into final fantasy's top 10

the worst ff > the best elder scrolls

It's better then anything in the FF series except for maybe the first couple and that would be stretching it as the reason we like those is the nostalgia factor.

I had Morrowind for the PC and when I stopped playing it, I had two saves that were both over 400 hours long. There are very few RPG's that have that much staying power. I didn't like Oblivion nearly as much, but it was still decent - good.

Also comparing an open ended, go where ever and do whatever game to the FF series is kinda like comparing Apples to Oranges. They are completely different from one another in style of play and how they are designed. I'm sorry that you fell behind the wayside and still like the old and outdated turn based system that FF uses. I hope they get rid of it for the next FF game as 13 was horrible boring for almost the whole game.

you've played for less than a day and you've decided that it's better than any FF?

What's the difference, he hasn't played it and says it's worse then 10x2. lmao. It's better then anything after 7, I've been disappointed in most of the FF games after that one. 10 was pretty damn good though, the rest have been ehhh to horrible if you ask me.

I've been playing games, mainly RPG's since 1988. I've played everything from the Baulder's gate series, all the fallout games, FF games, The witcher, Diablo 1 & 2, All of the elder scrolls series, Disgaea, Chrono Trigger, WOW, Earthbound, KOTOR, Secret of Mana....ext.

My favorite RPG of all time would probably be either Chrono Trigger or Earthbound 2.

yeah only like 4 of those are good. the rest are what i consider to be the lowest common denominator of rpgs, especially diablow, etc

Since we're talking about RPGs I just want to take this chance to say Persona 4 is the best game ever.

Also Dragon's Dogma looks waaaay better than this.

Persona is an awesome series. Dragon's Dogma looks good, but I'm iffy on how Capcom is going to pull that grab system off correctly with out it feeling like a gimmick. It will be interesting to see.

a new generation of bethesda game always has a "wow" factor. it's how it holds up that matters.

graphics and scale can bite me. is the story good, is the combat good, is it daggerfall 5.0.

these are my questions. and until i get them answered i will go back to playing demon souls and dark souls because i'm 99% sure that they are much better games.

people are still going to play the game PSC whether you like it or not. I Don't think what you're saying in this thread will change any of that.

i don't mean to come across as pissing on your circle jerk, and anyone that feels compelled to justify their playing of the game to me has their own issues

you guys act like i said something bad about jesus or allah or the beatles or some poo

ps the beatles fuging suck so do jesus and allah

you know the answer to that already or you would have preordered

i'd love it if bethesda got their poo together and put out a finished, fully fleshed rpg instead of 'OH MAN I PICKED SOMETHING UP OFF THAT SHELF AND STOLE IT SO COOL LOL'

'NOW I'M A VAMPIRE LOOOLOLOLOL'

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
