Panthers make No. 1 wish come true

It really goes to show, what a difference, a little kindess makes, no matter who makes the gesture or who receives it.

Each day, no matter how great or small, we all have a chance to make a positive difference in someone's life. We never now how a simple act of kindness can foster wonderful things in someone's life. Even if it is just one of us, on this border, helping someone who is elderly or disabled in a grocery store. We never know what impact that makes.

Kudos to the Panthers for participating in Make a Wish.

Pro Athletes, for better or worse, are in such a unique space to make a difference, I always think it's kinda sad when they don't see and seize that opportunity; but, maybe, understanding more than the physical, comes later in life. I think one of the reasons why so many people always liked Jake Delhomme, Mike Minter, Mike Rucker, is that their contributions weren't just on the football field.

You guys are way too sensitive, it's great what their doing, but it is in their contract and just because it's a great cause doesn't mean it isn't that's all I said. Every team does this, every year. I guess I need to learn to be more naive. Sorry to anyone who is offended.

Whose contract are you talking about? And show me where it says they have to put on events like this. Because as far as I can tell, no players were even involved.

I think you're the one that's naive. There are many people that genuinely like helping out others, especially children.

There's nothing anywhere that says the team has to do things like this. The NFL encourages it, but teams make their own decisions.

I see no point in minimizing something like this other than just trying to be an ass. How about just saying "that was a good thing to do" and leaving it at that

Come to think of it, I kinda wish I could get my hands on a Panthers flashlight and mail it to the kid or something.

That was a pretty specific question he made, so I'm wondering if it's something he had been wanting.

That'd be pretty awesome if the Huddle could somehow get their hands on a Panther flashlight and send it to him.
