Question about high school reunions

So my 10 year reunion is coming up this year and a facebook group was started a couple weeks ago to begin inviting people to the reunion. Anyway, I am going through the list of these people and I am wondering why some of these people are on the list.

Does a person have to actually graduate from a high school, to be considered a part of a "class". There are a lot of people that dropped out of high school, and maybe went on to get their GED, or some I know for a fact never even got their GED....

Also, what about the people who went to my high school as a freshman/sophomore, but transferred to a different high school for their junior/senior year?

At the end of the day, I really dont care either way....I am just curious if there is an etiquette to high school reunions.

Also, I want to know about some of your experiences at your reunion...What should I expect? (I always heard that the really popular kids are now losers, hottest chicks all have had kids, the nerdy guy is now rich with a hot wife....etc...)

Funny thing is, I am guessing that over 80% of my graduating class (over 500 people) probably still live in my hometown...which is sad, considering my hometown is rather lame....

Meh, your reunion can be whoever you want... our 20th is coming up and we've had some inquiries from people that went to our school and left before we graduated.

My 10th was pretty good, but I went to a very small school (97 people in my class) and we had about 30 show up and I knew them all. No real big surprises... I always kind of knew who would do well and who wouldn't. Those that didn't do fairly well didn't show.

Everyone lies. If someone tells you thet make $100,000 a year, they are unemployed.

Everyone wants to be more important than they are.

You're right. The head cheerleader, who got knocked up be the sports stud looks like Sluki (Is that her name?)

The sports stud is in rehab, if he's lucky.

The average looking girl, grew breasts and is now out of everyone's league there.

Don't drink too much and hit on the divorced ones! (It helps that you don't look like a spaz when you dance!)

my 10 was a blast. first words out of some peoples mouths "pstall, you still alive?"

the 20th was bittersweet. you could sense the times of your youth as fading memories that will be hard to recapture. at least for me i took more time to soak it in and just lived it up with my friends. we had a total awesome time.

25 is next year and im totally going.

I had a pretty good time at my 10 year last year. I never liked high school and pretty much disliked most of the people in my class. As I got older I realized that was my problem. I decided to go to the reunion and talked to some really awesome people. Too bad I didn't realize how cool they were when I was in high school with them every day.

this might be my experience.. I have one coming up in roughly 2 years and high school wasn't that great.. you might say I didn't come out of my shell until my early 20's.. but damn if I didn't when I did.. like someone mentioned, I have a feeling I know who will have accomplished something and who haven't.. (and those who think they have, but settled)

so I'll prob'ly go and be my social self and if it sucks I can always leave..
