i do movie sound design stuff so it's alot of field work and then a huge amount of editing. I have a PT LE system with Genelec monitors, a Control 24, a couple of Sennheisser shotguns and a crappy audio technica condensor.

A buddy of mine supplies good mics when i need them (i.e. Neumann, Schoeps etc.)

I've always thought being a foley artist would be a fun job...

I didn't say the MXL was the ONLY mic I had btw... I just said it sounded just as good to me as the 2 he pictured ;)

Hey all you audio engineers here...show me yours and I'll show you mine. Samples of your recordings that is. I'd love to hear what's being produced around here.

lol... this was me 5-6 years ago...

http://www.myspace.com/theproducedepartment

I made a couple of those beats, and did all the recording/mixing in my apartment/home at the time... My friend is the rapper... I was SOOOO amateur then... still am, honestly...

My favorite mix was probably that "16 bars entry" track, which was for a contest that got canceled due to Hurricane Katrina... You picked a track produced by several famous producers, recorded your 16 bars to it, and sent it in for a chance to win some pretty sweet gear...

We were using a hacked version of Fruity Loops and a program called Cool Edit Pro at the time...

I've dabbled a little since then, but don't have time for it much anymore...

I'll have to check that out when I'm not at work...can't see myspace. But here's the latest album I produced:

www.drdpandthetrainrunners.bandcamp.com

never bought the complete because I've been buying it piecemeal for the last 5 years. but yea, i have most of what it includes.

You do surround mixes? I just know if you're running LE you need complete to do surround...or HD (who's going to pay that much!). PT 9 has delay compensation and you can run it off any interface...pretty baller
