it seems like everybody wants this guy....really we are not going to get this guy...i really think we can pull these next few games out...the season is not over....go panthers...this team has too much pride to lay on its back...besides if we draft him behind our o line he will fail just like the rest of the great hopes that lined up behind center for this franchise...with our line cam newton is the best choice but we wont select him either...this thread is too long....we...not speaking french...but panther fans know we will pull out three games this season i sure of it....i bet my life on that....

You should probably start writing your will pretty soon

i just want to know how winning the remainder of our meaningless games is better for the franchise than losing out to get a chance to draft the best QB prospect in decades? seriously, how?

Just so you know, while the fans may have quit on this franchise until next season (if there is one) the players, on the other hand, have not...

Despite the record, they will continue to play hard whether or not fans believe it. The players don't care about the team's draft status at the moment, their focus is to get through the remainder of the schedule.

its the draft nothing is ever a certain in a draft...luck is not a panther...the panthers that will take the field sunday are not worried about the draft...they are worried about that win bonus check that they only got one this season...with lockouts on hozizon...they gotta eat eat...that kid didnt even declare yet...this luck campaign is too premature...still more football...once again go panthers

1) No draft pick is a guarantee.

2) When the team went to the Superbowl in 2003, they credited the experience and momentum of 2002 as a big reason why they were able to gel so well that year.

3) With a young team, having the team really come together and get some nice wins (because let's be honest, we have only 1 easy game left) could be a huge boost to the development of the team.

At this point, I hope we do draft first, but I also would rather it be due to the fact we manage to win one or two, and all of our competition manages to win out. ;)

I think we will beat Arizona, but unless Atlanta rests their starters in week 17 there's no way we win more than that. They'll probably be neck & neck with the Saints and have to win that last game to get the division title and/or homefield.

And I don't think there's anything wrong with hoping for losses at all. The worse this season is the more changes the front office will feel need to be made in the offseason. And then there's Luck - a once in a decade type of QB who has the potential to turn our franchise into an annual playoff contender.

Would anyone be interested in starting up a letter writing campaign to nudge Jerry, Hurney, & Danny Morrison toward hiring Harbaugh/drafting Luck? We could come up with 3-4 different letters to each one of them, print them out, and hand sign them, then mail them in.

Jerry's always been interested in what the fans are thinking and if we can make him aware of the type of excitement the prospect of hiring Harbaugh and drafting Luck is creating then perhaps it could help nudge them along? Also, we've all heard about Morrison actually calling fans back when they leave messages about the state of the team. He obviously cares what the fans think and if nothing else maybe he would influence Jerry's opinion.

Maybe even start up a web site dedicated to it? I know some Bengals fans had "Who Dey Revolution" a few years back and got noticed by the team's ownership. I have a degree in web design and 10 years experience in Photoshop an I imagine there are more than enough technically-skilled fans here who could contribute to such a web site. Maybe we can even raise some cash to put a full page ad in the Charlotte Observer urging Jerry to get on board with Harbaugh/Luck - or perhaps even a billboard in Charlotte, though that would likely be VERY expensive.

I really think if we do this it would greatly increase the chances of seeing the organization make the move(s) we all want them to come the offseason.

Anyone interested in this?

1) I know it's not guaranteed, that's why i said pass up a CHANCE to draft luck, meaning he isn't guaranteed to declare, but losing out puts us in the best position to draft him if he does.

2) that only worked for one season. Foxy can't put back to back winning campaigns.

3) I agree with that point, but right now i'm all about being selfish and drafting andrew luck first overall.
