Andrew Luck News & Updates

I realize that you are tired of it, but some of us enjoy the anticipation, sifting through the garbage pails of refuge to find a tell, a giveaway. It is exciting. The solution is to stop reading them. However, the thing you should realize is this: Obviously there is a need or desire to talk about this. 24 hours ago we learned that we had the #1 overall pick, we have never had a franchise QB, and one might be available. Sorry, but the flow of energy is going to overwhelm your outcry for diversity

Imagine a player with the mobility of John Elway, the intelligence of Peyton Manning, a spiral like Tom Brady, and a release nearly as quick as Marino. Wow.

Sounds like a scrub.

No speed of Vick, No determination of Rothliesberger, No arm strength of Flacco. :frown5:

If you don't want to read about Andrew Luck, you may want to stay out of this forum for a while.

If he doesn't declare, come back after about January 20th (it'll take a few days for the forum to calm down).

If he does, and we don't draft him, you'll probably want to wait till June (same reason).

If he declares, and we draft him, and you don't want to hear people talk about him, then I'd say don't come back at all.

Classy response. I don't read them. I see stuff like, "What number should Luck have" and "Do you think Luck will come out" and I skip over them. I realize that we need the guy, but I just can't get over the amount of new threads that are basically saying the same thing as the one before it. Again, I appreciate the classy response instead of some people that curse me out because I have a different opinion.

I actually thought about putting "Where are you Mr. Scot?" at the end of my original post. You are one of those people that post nice threads that I actually enjoy reading. If he declares and we get him that would be awesome. I'm not a Luck hater by any means. Anything to help this franchise bring home a championship I'm for. It's the constant and redundant posts that are driving me crazy.

Honestly, it's just the nature of things.

Message boards tend to be overreaction festivals.

And let's be realistic. In the past 24 hours, we've seen the #1 pick secured, but also heard the possibility the guy we want might not be available.

Until there's something more substantive, these issues are going to remain in the forefront.

We have to sift through a lot of muck to find a little gold. There are people on here who only try to make smartass cracks in feeble attempts to win pie and giggles from other pimple-faced third shift workers who do their best sniping from their lairs in their parents' basement. Part of the deal. I would like to see news, no matter how seemingly insignificant, instead of dumbass "what if..." posts. I see your point, but it is what people want to discuss. Jan 15 is going to be a big day.

So, Luck has said that he wont make a decision about entering the 2011 draft until after their bowl game on January 3rd.

This means one of two things:

A. He already knows what he wants to do, but is delaying it for no apparent reason other than he's a dick and likes building up the hopes of prospective teams/Stanford fans, only to crush them at the last minute. I don't think that's it.

B. He was genuinely not sure whether he wanted to declare for the draft at that time. The question is - why?

I don't think the notion that he likes college, or wants to finish earning his degree explains his indecision. If that was it, he would have committed one way or another by now. Again, unless he's just a narcissistic asshole.

The CBA could be a factor as well, but again, he's not gonna know f**k all either way by January 15th. If it's a big enough factor, he would have already said that he was going to stay for another year.

So what is it omg luck u asshole ur so trixxy.

What else coincides with the Orange Bowl on January 3rd? Oh yeah, it's the last week of NFL football. That means Luck would absolutely, for sure, know who would hold the first overall pick, and likely take him if he declared. If rumors that he was absolutely refusing to go to a team like Buffalo are true, it stands to reason that he wouldn't want to go to other shitty teams like Cincinnati or Oakland or Detroit as well.

I really think Luck has been waiting to see who holds the first pick before he announces his decision. So, the only question remaining is: Does he like the Panthers?

He went to Stanford in part because of Harbaugh, and also in part because it wasn't a HUGE football school, and all the students wouldn't be sucking his balls trying to get autographs and poo.

Charlotte isn't a huge city, and we don't get a ton of media coverage. In a lot of respects, we have a comparable atmosphere to Stanford.

We have a young team, but a good core of vets, and up-and-coming players on offense. Like Gettis, LaFell, and Edwards (LMFAO) plus two stud RBs and a decent to good offensive line when Otah gets his fat ass rehabbed. Not a bad situation to come into, although I said the same things about Clausen. (thanks for sucking, you asshole.)

I think he declares because he wants to play here, and I think Harbaugh would tell him we have a good organization with Richardson and Co.

Declaring for the draft prior to your bowl game makes you look distracted and makes you look self centered and future minded as opposed to doing whatever it takes to help your CURRENT team win games.

Nobody knows which way he's going to go other than Luck and a few close friends if he's even made the decision.

If he's the kind of quarterback we want to have here, then he'll keep his future plans under wraps until his college career at Stanford has been completed. This isn't going to be the Andrew Luck farewell bowl.... he clearly wants to win the game.
