So their defense was good because......their offense was good.

Love the lack of logic that you once again display.

yes one side of the ball can effect how the other plays.

to learn other simple things about this sport, might i suggest you go to nfl.com/kids

I am not so sure about that....we do have quick guys. DLewis is not a big DT. Johnson, Taylor, etc.. are quick DE's. We have alot of speed at LB.

We have the run stuffing DT that indy never had. This guy is a winner....when the Indy defense was healthy, they were very good.

Biggest question is whether Fox truly lets him run the D.

I'm honestly not a fan of the approach.

The Colts defense for years has had the advantage of being on the opposite side of the high scoring Colts offense. It meant that teams were always having to play catch up and the D could generally just pin their ears back and go for the passer.

We're not that kind of offense. We have a good offense, but not that good.

I'd have preferred McGinnis. I'll give Meeks a chance, but knowing the differences between us and the Colts, I have concerns.

Your logic and attempt at humor is quite trite and pedestrian. Please try again.

I know that it has an impact...however, your logic that the only reason they were good on D is because their offense was good is a joke.

If their D was not good, they would be in shootouts and not be ranked high in scoring defense or total defense. Their defensive stats would suck.

Please try and keep up.

Meeks defense (Dungys, actually) is based on zoned coverage and a small, fast dline that can penetrate. It's bad against the run and basically hinges on the other teams offense making mistakes and being forced into a lot of passing scenarios. Having a high powered offense that can dump 30+ a game forces the other team to start throwing more, earlier, which plays into the D scheme.

Bad news is I could run for 90 yards on that defense, Turner is going to pop 200 yard games. Also, we don't/can't score like the Colts.

Bet you this guys runs the same book Trgo had as we don't have the personnel to switch. Whee.
