If you could go back in panthers history and change one thing, what would it be?

Gimme back the 2 endzone picks from our last game. That's given us 28 points, assuming we wouldnt've gone for 2 and missed, and changed the whole dynamic of the game. Arizona then wouldntve been able to score 33 points, and the NFC Championship game would have, should have been in Charlotte.

The past wounds have healed, but the most recent still hurt. Alot...

    • Full disclosure but I was never big on Mayfield myself. He looked like a broken QB with nothing to play for. Could we had tried fixing him back then? Given what was going on with the dysfunction behind the scenes? Unlikely. Darnold did have moments but I never got the sense the organization (ie Tepper) was truly behind him. Still have that feeling Mayfield was basically handed the starting job over Darnold.
    • This is the narrative you're creating. The environment argument is valid. 100% for sure. But the point I'm making here is that Darnold and Mayfield didn't have raw talent issues. The issues with Bryce's talent level are all still there. He's doing a better job of doing what he can to compensate where he can but he's still a marginal NFL talent. You have to have a perfect environment to make that work. On other words, you need the system and the team to carry that guy. Like Purdy in SF. We're basically still sitting here going and praying that Bryce can be Brock Purdy.
    • Take a look at our top WRs aside from XL--who arguably is our fourth best WR right now:  AT (undrafted), Coker (undrafted), and Moore (7th round).    You build from the inside out, back to front.  I think we can get a TE, RB, and maybe even a WR on day 3 of the draft.  I think we should leave days 1 and 2 with a top edge, DT, and MLB (not a Jewell fan, and if we go 4-3...) I would also need to evaluate Center but Mays has been OK and should improve.  Some are arguing that we need a #1 WR, and rightly so, but XL, Coker, etc. will improve. Add some people who can catch and get open--they are not #1 WR out of college--they are #1 candidates.  Fill the stall and let the fastest horse race.
