Pissed That We Drafted Luck

I'd be pissed if we didn't get the opportunity to draft him. I was hoping Clausen would show something but he's been getting worse even though the run game and receivers have been playing progressively better.

Only knock I could see on luck is questioning his commitment to football. My first two years in college I did construction/architecture. I had to drop architecture because of how hard I was having to work/sacrific just to keep my scholarships and stay afloat. It's not so much the difficulty but the time consumption.

I don't see how he can be studying architecture and be fully committed to football. Reminds me of that Rhodes scholar fellow. Genius but in the end he wasn't as committed to football as the slower folk.

Why we should NOT draft Andrew Luck

Forgive him, he not know what he reads. There are more people other then myself that do not want Luck.

I listed what I thought was a pretty good arguements against Luck. If you go the QB route, I'd rather have Mallett whose actually beaten good defenses and NFL Talent. Luck played 1 good team, and led that team to 0 2nd half points, let me say that again, ZERO 0 2nd half points against that horrific defense.

He has a cannon for an arm...makes some spectaculr plays....yet has 5-6 bonehead WTF decion making moments in a game that are devastating.

Either draft Luck #1....or, trade down if we are aoffered a RW type deal...and fix the OLine, DLine, and CB situation. Sign a vet QB in the offseason, and hope that Clausen just needs a little time and mentoring.

I think Ohio is biased to SEC players because of the raping they did to his team over the past couple years.

I only have one thing to say about the upcoming draft for Carolina.. Jimmy Clausen was good in college, but is not a competitive QB in the NFL. The Panthers need to take Cam Newton from Auburn with their 1st overall pick. His precision, elusiveness and strength all combine to make a monster of a QB that the Panthers have never had before. Andrew Luck may be a great fit also, but after watching Cam Newton play this season and in the BCS Nat'l Championship, his consistancy and composure along with the rest of his skill set is something the Panthers should consider cashing the 1st overall pick in on. Newton is the weapon that the panthers have been missing.
