I'd be interested in buying an account for gold, equipment, mounts, etc...I'm not paying crazy money but I've been looking on Craigslist and have emailed a few folks about their WoW accounts. PM me if any of you guys want out. I've loaded up the Battlechest but have not registered my keys yet and I have WotLK and Cataclysm waiting to be installed. Damn patches downloading are almost 8 GB Geez.

It's actually about 10gb. It takes a day to install this game from discs.

Bro I wouldn't buy an account. It is SO easy to level up characters now. With the redesign of all old areas, questing makes so much sense. AND, all the quests in dungeons are now in the FRONT of the dungeons to grab/turn in. Dungeon finder makes finding groups EASY and with everyone making goblins/worgens right now, there's probably a ton of people playing. If you made a healer or tank, you can literally level up from lvl 15-80 using nothing but the dungeon finder system.

I used to hate leveling but with the new changes, its' fun. The only time I hate it is BC stuff, level 58-68 stuff in Outland, but it goes fast.

I have heirlooms, but I leveled a hunter to like 50 before Cata in about 1-2 days. It's not bad at all. If you're going to spend money, I'd just level a character and buy gold instead of an account lol.

I have at one point, back in the day on Vanilla WoW when money was a lot harder to come by. Was trying to get reputation (when rep was insanely hard) with cenarion, and needed to buy texts.

Haven't in a long time though.

Who care, really? Some people don't have 10 hours a day to worry about making money. They want to get on a few times a week at 3-4 hours a time, maybe, and raid with their friends. So they spend some money getting gold to get gems/enchants or whatever. Buying gold doesn't really impact people's game experience so it's not a biggie in my eyes.

I don't buy gold in video games, but I can see the rationale behind it. If somebody playing WoW likes and enjoys raiding, but hates grinding for gold to buy gems to socket his raiding gear with, what is wrong in spending 10 bucks to avoid having to grind for 8 hours game time to be able to get to the part of the game you enjoy?

It's really the same reason a lot of online companies are starting to branch out into these "free-to-play" but optional 'perks' and items for real cash models... the game is technically free but it doesn't really end up that way for some people. Look at all those crappy facebook games you can pay real money to get coins in. The biggest surprise to me is not necessarily that Blizzard's ToS says people can't buy gold rather that Blizzard doesn't sell it themselves.

They sell things like pets though.

A good deal of WoW players enjoy and play for the economic portion of it. It's really neat, and if you're good enough, you can own the market. I think if they "sold" gold, it would kind of not make sense and also alienate these players.

And yes, a lot of people love raiding, or pvping, but hate farming for gold, or even leveling in some instances. Some people raid 3-4 times a week, and if they have a full time job, definitely have no time to farm stuff. I'm lucky in that when we start raiding it's only 2 nights a week and no weekends.

    • His o loaded with swift, dj, Keenan and Rome was inconsistent at best. The d was bad. And the game management was atrocious and lost them games.  He was terrible and made the team worse. I wish they kept him
    • That is my point.  I think teams make a huge mistake when they pay their decent to average QBs top QB money because they feel that they have to match the market or lose their investment--There is no way, for example, that Tua or Prescott or Murray should all be making more than Mahomes--I mean, Dak makes $15m per season more than Mahomes. People say, "Well, when its his turn...." But that is not how it should be--so my point was that Bryce can be doing mediocre to good enough in 2 years, but the way it is going, you have to pay him at the starting QB rate--currently $60m.  So even if you think he will continue to improve, at $60 m, he would eliminate any chance for a ring---so my view is, if he is not elite, you cut him.  So you draft QBs now and see what you can make of them.
    • With two 4ths and three 5ths I’m hoping we can kill it on adding depth. Take a gamble with the two 7ths.  First 3 picks id love to address the defense. I expect Tuttle, Robinson, and Jewell to all be on the 2025 roster but not after that. Be a good time to add depth and let them develop a year.
