Worst Situation in the NFL

there are quite afew teams that are going to be hurting at QB next year that clausen might make sense as a destination. seattle is definitely one of them. he's got more upside than whitehurst for sure and comparable in value to some of the non-luck and non-newton QBs that will be going in the first couple rounds.

i see miami, zona, san fran, redskins (WCO offense and a HC that hates hyped up players which clausen can't be considered anymore), vikes, and maybe bills as the most likely destinations.

so you basically asked guys that don't know alot about football? any half decent fan of football can name every QB on every team. if they don't know who Clausen is, then their opinion doesn't really matter that much to me.

I think it's funny that your trying to defend Derek Anderson. The guy is terrible. he's being replaced by John Skelton. he's terrible

..Okay, I didn't realize I need to spell everything out here. What that means is that Clausen is SO BAD that they don't even consider him a NFL QB.

I will defend Derek Anderson because, even though he's not a very good QB, I have EXTREME doubts that Clausen will ever even attain even his best state. Have you even compared their stats? Anderson had 5 TDs, and 8 INTS / 1 FUM in his first season of play in 5 games. Clausen has 1 TD, 6 INTS / 1 FUM in his first season of play in 9 games, and gosh knows how many mishandled snaps!

And what is it with you and defining someone's fandom on how many players they can name on such and such team? You do this in nearly every post. It's quite obvious you know nothing about the Cardinals because you don't even mention their rushing attack (or lack thereof) which is currently ranked 31st. You know whose is last? The Colts? Hmmm.. I wonder why Peyton is having such a poor year (again, one of your teams in your post that you clearly forget about their rushing game). The point is, a decent rushing attack takes stress of the QB. W/o one, the QB becomes an easy target to place the blame for a poor season. One trick ponies don't go to the show.

You're clearly insane if you think that Clausen has a future as a starting QB in this league and will help ours or any organization in the future, and is better than Anderson.

And you believe Derek Anderson is an NFL QB? wow, you truly are delusional. I don't think anybody here is talking about how great Clausen is and how he is the savior for the team. But I would put money on the fact that Clausen will have a better career than Derek Anderson. and this much I know about the Cards, if you have watched them, they are even worse than us. I unfortunately think we are going to beat them.

BTW, Anderson has Fitzgerald, the best reciever in the NFL. you forgot to mention that fact

To be fair Anderson has no running game whatsoever and only has one legit weapon now that Boldin is gone. Fitz is now facing the SS treatment except they have no running game to keep defenses even a little honest.

DA has more tools than Clausen and it's not even close. With some coaching he will be better than Clausen. Clausen has no NFL tools to speak of and no balls to go along with it, bad combo. Clausen might not see the field again after this year. People will always take chances on big guys with big arms, not so much little guys with little arms.

Okay, apparently, even with the Peyton Manning example, you still don't get it.

After we come to the terms of what is defined as "better" I will take your bet. 100 grand ok with you? Maybe I will just bet my home instead? Will be the easiest $/acquisition I ever made.

If we beat them, GREAT! But you obviously do not know how much talent their team as a whole has.

Lets break it down at each area, and I will list CAR/AZ as what is "better".

Coaching - AZ

Asst. Coaching - AZ

QB - AZ

RB - CAR

FB - Push

WR - AZ due to youth of Fitz and experience of Breaston/Doucet.

TE - CAR

OL - AZ

DL - AZ

LB - Push

CB - AZ

S - AZ

ST - Push

CAR - 2

AZ - 8

I don't see how you can say John Skelton can be any good. until we see him, he could conceivably be worse than Clausen. and right now the Panthers linebackers are probably a push. but when we get Davis back, we definetly have an advantage. and I hope you are right and Arizona beats us, so we can get the #1 pick. but they can't score at all. As an offense, they have scored one touchdown, and that was in garbage time to Kansas City. Even in our loss we had two last week.

for a while the Panthers didn't have any running game either. Anderson might have a strong arm, but his accuracy is TERRIBLE.

So Clausen's accuracy is not terrible?

I'd take a QB with an arm that needs some fine tuning in the accuracy dept than a QB with no arm that needs fine tuning in the accuracy dept, wouldn't you?

Show me one tool that Jimmy has over DA.

You have all night to think about it...I'll be here at 8:30am PST to laugh.

I think he has better QB instincts for one. and better accuracy right now too. and he's emotionally stable.

Derek Anderson has had his chance to be good. He failed. Clausen still has a chance
