Wow, no mention of Heath Ledger? He was a future Oscar winner, if not multiple Oscar winner. Great Batman sequels, and a slew of big budget blockbusters that would have followed in the wake of his Dark Knight success. That's a crusher.

Cobain? Not so much. Nirvana wouldn't be relevant today if they had kept going. And we wouldn't have had Foo Fighters without his passing, and they're just hit-makers. And Queens of the Stone Age wouldn't have made Songs for the Deaf. And that would be a crime.

Bob Marley probably wouldn't still be making records today, but the stuff he would have made since his death would have been SPECTACULAR!

Biggie? Not sure. Not many rappers can manage a 20-year career. If he could pull it out though, I'd have loved to hear everything he might have made.

Mitch Hedberg. Comedy isn't the same without him. he would be bigger than Dane Cook right now if he was alive, sadly we aren't that lucky.

Lennon for sure. McCartney is still around, and has been making albums for decades. He and Lennon would have made some beautiful records over the past 40 years. That prospect, and being deprived of it, just made me really sad.

And Boo, Keith Moon would be dead by now anyway. No matter how many times you saved him from OD-ing, he'd still do it again the next night. Guys like that were meant to live hard and die young.

Chris Farley would be making great stuff if he was still alive. I mean he was so productive in his few years in the business, by now he would have made 50 movies, at least 3 of them good. Although I can't shake the feeling that he would have tried to make an ill-advised foray into serious movies to try to legitimize his career. Might have been trouble.

2 people that should have been mentioned.. Great call.. especially Hedberg, he is one of few comedians to keep me rolling throughout an entire standup.. Heath Ledger was a great actor.. ashame we won't get to see more of his movies..
