Note: Rooting for the Panthers to lose this week is a fan law violation

I won't poo on anyone who is rooting against the panthers at this point. I'll admit, i was cheering when the seahawks made their comback this past week. I want the first pick in the draft for a shot at andrew luck. if luck declares and we don't get a chance to draft him because we won one of our meaningless last 4 games of the season, then fug that.

if we aren't going to the playoffs there is no point in winning for the rest of the year. lick our wounds and come out swinging with a better team next year. winning now only hurts us.

Don't call me a shitty fan for wanting the best for the franchise's future. dicks.

shitty fans...call it like i see 'em...you most likely had high hopes for clausen when he got drafted...lets just put in the recordbooks another 1-15 season so that we potentially have a 5-11 season next year. so call panther fans when we get luck with no results would you stop cheering the for the team like you did this year....man..fake fans should go in the corner and drown themselves in a puddle of panther piss. go panthers...f the draft....its december

It's the USS Arizona memorial in Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. It is eerie because Pearl Harbor is absolutely beautiful, but the ship is still sunk underneath that memorial. I can only imagine what that place looked like the morning before the attack. Absolutely beautiful.

Please note that when AKPantherFan says "Remember Arizona", this is NOT what he is referring to.

12/07/1941 is like 9/11/2001 for you youngsters.;)

It's a fairly easy concept.

Inasmuch as I would welcome success at any turn, the reality is a win now, next week or the week after is absolutely meaningless. This is also the same logic I apply to my rooting hard for the Dallas Cowboys, as much as I loathe them. A win for Dallas only turns the knife a little harder in Jerry Jones gut, knowing that a Dallas win is also meaningless and that he may very well be watching another NFC East team playing in his stadium for the Super Bowl.

Second, this team should have started changing things up as few weeks back by using different personnel, changing some formations and getting some playing time for those players who may need some game tape for the new head coach. Almost like training camp again.

Third, I'm playing Atlanta's defense this weekend.

Since we are not going to make the playoffs, I figure this game is our superbowl game. This is the game we see what Clausen can do, not that I want him back as the starter next year. (Because I don't have any confidence he will be a starter here.) Yet for Clausen, you already stunk up the joint and pretty much everyone considers you a bust draft pick. You are playing your college rival in Matt Ryan, and Steve Smith is ready to have a breakout game. I predict this will be Clausen's best game as a Panther.

I'm not rooting for the Panthers to lose, but when the inevitable happens, it's all good..

if in the 2nd QTR something clicks and Clausen lights up an opposing defense for 300 yards, our WR's are finding ways to get open, and our offense is clicking... I'ma feel real good about next year..

but if we suck.. at least we'll have early draft picks in the offseason.. and whether you rooted for the Panthers or not, doesn't change a damn thing.. except your ego about your fanhood..

how about people hoping that we win just so we don't get the first pick in the draft cause they are afraid of drafting luck?

whose worse...the fan who wants a team wo win a couple meaningless games despite the potential to get a #1 pick in the draft and get someone who can seriously improve the team or the fan that is ok with losing a couple meaningless games because they know the long term effects will be positive?
